Here is my opinion.....I believe Schiff or better yet Piglosi will NOT have a vote on impeachment. They will let this hearsay run rampart and tell the world, see we told you so. Now if I'm wrong, which I think I'm batting 250, If McConnell DOESN'T bring in the spy Eric Ciaramella to testify then McConnell just confirmed that the United States of America does have a two tier system and he should personally rip the blindfold off of Lady Justice.

This is what I have been hearing more and more these days, is that the whole thing isn't really about an actual impeachment, but a coordinated smear campaign on a massive stage. Im sure the dems realized that the media cannot do it, and with trump doing so well in office, they needed to bring out the big guns. Dems failed on the Robert Muller garbage, so now they have this. Im going to side with you here and say Piglosi will probably let this thing continue to boil.

Well one way to look at it is if the impeachment fails this is one way for Peglosi to get rid of her thorn in her flesh the radical squad.

Whichever way the dims go, it will fun to watch. The dims have all but promised their base they will impeach. Now, how do you tell them that there will not even be a vote? The base "knows" Trump is guilty, bad, corrupt,,,,, how do you tell them no vote? The base is rabid for impeachment, remember they were robbed of hillary's election. This has been enjoyable to watch, not so much that the libs put it all on impeachment, but that they are putting it all on shiff!! Not exactly putting your best foot forward. Does make me wonder, where is pelosi? Can't the dims get her sober enough to make a statement?

This would certainly throw a lot of democrats who peddled this nonsense out of power. I think most Americans are sick and tired of this, and after having failed multiple times, if this doesn't work for them, then they will be discarded like yesterdays garbage.

I'd like to think the Con is helping Trump, so if that's the case, the Con is giving the dims more rope with which to hang themselves.
He's also taking the pressure off the Dims to extend their fiasco by telling them it will come to the Senate, possibly getting them to shorten the exposure.
I could be wrong, but in the Senate all kinds of witnesses can be called and Schitt won't be able to stop them.

I despise the Con, but I don't think he's stupid enough to allow Trump to be impeached and removed from office, knowing full well that would bring on a civil war and cost much of the Senate their lives.
So I'm going to assume a plan is in the works to expose the Dims corruption before the world.

It would be a way to get shiff and the wistleblower on the witness stand.?? Don't know, if McConnell comes out and says he will throw it out without a trail, he would give the dims an out, they could still claim Trump is guilty but that they will not have a vote because it is rigged and all the reps are corrupt??? I'm just acting like a lib here, throwing shiff against the wall to see what could stick. Personally, the dims have carried this little game this far, they need to vote for all to see on impeachment. If it is to get called off, they need to vote it down, otherwise lets get all the crooks on the witness stand for the whole world to see. They have no case but they have shown this is how they are going to act from now on, from scotus confirming to protesting elections, the reps need to take them on and expose it.
Don't forget that although the Senators don't stand for reelection every two years, they all are concerned about how their votes (and their public statements) will play at home.  We are very focused on the cowardly Republicans who seem to sit on the sidelines, but the same is true with Democrat Senators from Red or even Purple States.  McConnell knows that the Dems will crucify the his party if he does anything that appears to be covering up for the President.  He also knows that having a trial if the House votes for Impeachment is both Constitutional and expected by the American people. He can turn this around on the Democrats, both in the House and the Senate.  The way the trial in the Seante works is that each article of Impeachment has a House member appointed as a Manager to present the case(s) to the Senate.  All of these Managers will ultimately be in for a major, public,  ass whoopin from the Senate Republicans!  The real question may be, how many Senate Democrats are going to openly support each of these 'Managers" and associate themselves with the Kangaroo Court of the House?

More than any other factor, Mitch McConnell is concerned with maintaining control of the Senate.

 When pelosi had no real comments after the day of testimony, claimed she had other things to do, that should let even the dim base know they have nothing. The dims are backed into a trap that they built, don't vote and make your base furious, impeach and the senate will tear them apart. I can not see the republicans loosing any seats either in the house or the senate over this. What a great time to be watching politics. Hope the history books get this one correctly.

Nancy Pelsoi may go down in history as not only being the first woman Speaker of the House, but being the individual who is ultimately most responsible for the end of the Democrat Party.  She and the Justice-Democrats may even just come out and run as The American Socialist Party (or even, The American Communist Party, if they think there are enough Useful Idiots to support them).  In order to establish a new Left Wing Party, they need to destroy the Clinton establishment Democrat Party. So, impeach Trump or not; it's a win win for the Far Left from Deep Blue Safe Zones!

Ain't gonna make it to the Senate.  In a few weeks, or so, we should start seeing Dem Congressional Candidates jumping ship.  They have to be cheesed off right about now.
The Inquiry is shown to be a phony sham, without foundation, and a waste of taxpayer money.  31 Dems are up for reelection in districts Trump won.  These Dems have to be angry at Pelousy, Schitt, and Shroomer.  They are in Districts they can never lose.  They have thrown the 31 in Trump won District, under the bus.  This investigation will be their demise, if they don't Bail on  Nancy  Chuckey and Sluggo.

That's what I'm saying, McConnell does not need to give the dims a reason not to have a vote. Let the dims take a public stand for all to see, they are backed into a corner. Pelosi is the biggest loser here, if she sobers up someone should tell her.

I'm wondering if the Con called Fuglosi's bluff on this whole scam? The Dims have absolutely nothing to gain, but everything to lose if the Senate takes up Impeachment.
This might just force Fuglosi's hand into dropping this hoax altogether.

I heard that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court could dismiss it. It doesn't look like McConnell is for that option

What's really odd is that the American people are no doubt confused (I more/less am) about the procedure for impeachment. It looks to me like there are no rules, as there are  in criminal/civil courtrooms...

looks like the system needs to be re-done so it is more American

"Could" and "will" are two different worlds. Roberts has hardly been a profile on courage since being on the court. Therefore, I see no way he would dismiss the charges.

My personal opinion, I think there is a lot more unity now in the republican party than there has been in my lifetime, well maybe since Reagan was president. I believe Trump now has the party actually working for the country, for whats right, and for the party.Yes, I believe McConnell called her bluff and backed her drunk butt into a corner. Right now she has no choice to make. Her party is now gone and the socialist in her party won. Time to bury the dim party.  I can not help but think Trump taught the rep. party how to act. They are not perfect, but watching the republicans on the hearings yesterday I was proud of everyone of them. There was no McCain in the room!!! That, in mho is where Trump now has it won, I do think he has the party on his side..   Damn, that was long winded. But the weather is cold and too wet to work outside( at least with tomorrow going to be sunny and 50).

That's why I  posed two options in the OP. I couldn't believe the Con would want to risk a civil war, so the second option seems more plausible. Yes, it looks like the GOP has finally gotten their shit together and I agree, Trump has Fuglosi's butt backed into a corner.
It's easy to forget while watching all this nonsense play out, that it's very possible Trump set the left up and forced them into an Impeachment trap.
