McCain reportedly has a brain tumor

I don't want to see McCain dead, I'd rather see him retired, and better yet quit undermining American interests.   Maybe the brain tumor had something to do with his hypocrisy and traitorous acts, maybe years of getting beat up in captivity & brainwashing - quite frankly, the MSM made him into some kind of Nam war-hero & Trump called him out.   Good for Trump, because even though I probably won't know all the facts, if the MSM creates a hero "the Maverick" - be assured, they're worthless for protecting America.

Here's one guy who REALLY wants McCain dead.
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/bill-nye-older-people-need-to-die-out-before-climate-science-can-advance/article/2629163

QuoteBill Nye specifically targeted the elderly this week as he spoke out against climate change deniers, saying that climate science will start to advance when old people start to "age out," according to a report.

The "Science Guy" said that generationally, the majority of climate change deniers are older.

Living him his own little liberal socialist bubble, government can fix every problem business cause - the truth is the opposite.   Applying business sense can fix the problems caused by government.   I've never heard of this guy, other than the foolishness of his that pops up on the news now and then - he must have sustained multiple head injuries, like McCain.

IMO... McCain should have been shot over 40 years ago via firing squad, Hanoi Jane & John Kerry too.  It is insulting to our founding fathers, some who gave up their wealth, health & lives - but kept their sacred honor, the vision of a free country.  These traitors, and the MSM have done nothing to honor that vision - but slapped them in the face and welcomed their (and our) enemies in among us.

Ted Kennedy reportedly died of the same kind of tumor - and asked the Pope to hear his confession, or something... like the thief on the cross, next to Jesus, and got no satisfactory answer.   Never a public retraction of the evil he caused, never public remorse over the death of Mary Jo, he died in his dishonor to pay the price eternally.  I would HOPE McCain is a little wiser.  Better late than never.  "Hell hath enlarged itself", there's another puffed up politician on the way.

The sorry I for John McCain - opportunities as an American were squandered for fame & fortune.  As Jesus said, "they have their reward" (meaning here and now, you got 100% of it, there is nothing for you in eternity!)
All animals are created equal; Some just take longer to cook.   Survival is keeping an eye on those around you...

That's the aspect that bother me. He prides himself a fighter and is vowing to continue in the Senate. Don't these guys ever figure out when it's time to usher in the next-in-line? Like him or not, it's time for McCain to head toward the sunset and let someone else come in who has the energy to work the Senate.

John ... time to step back. You've earned the rest and are ineffective in the Senate!!! You're NOT fighting your way out of a POW camp at this point - you're just hanging on. Rather,  hand the baton to someone who can better serve in the Senate. That's your duty at this point - not to keep serving with failing health. Ask yourself, are you the best man for the job in this top post in our country? Easy answer ... no! It's unethical for you to hang on to your power at this point. Do the noble thing ... work a transition and step back.

He's just been given the diagnosis. Certainly he'll need time to absorb what's going on and to make some decisions as to whether at 80 to undergo chemo and radiation or live out his days without enduring what chemo and radiation does to the body.  His instinct is to fight and certainly having a positive outlook will help, but his tumor is the most malignant and aggressive of all primary tumors and is considered grade 4. Median survival is 14 months.  Glioblastoma is not curable, only treatable.  The prognosis is pretty grim and I anticipate that he will probably step down. My prayers to him and his family in his final days.

Tell that to the families of the missing.

His days are numbered. Hopefully the families of those he left behind will find some sort of comfort in his death. If he hasn't reconciled with his past I'm sure he's doing so now.  Rest assured he will have to answer for any wrongdoing; his day of reckoning is close at hand.

Solar, I was taught and raised to turn the other cheek.  I certainly respect your feelings and obviously those feelings run deep and with reason. I was just a teeny bopper when the Vietnam war finally ended.  I had friends with older brothers who never made it home and I remember that those who made it home refused to talk about what happened in Nam.  I never even heard of McCain until he ran for president. I refused to vote for him because of his stance on illegal immigration and was ridiculed by members of the Republican club that I belonged to at the time because they felt he was the only member of the GOP that could win ... well ... that was the beginning of my realization that there were/are a whole lot of people who will vote for someone just because they have an 'R' next to their name; they are part of the problem rather than the solution.  My annoyance with RINO's continues on!

Nope, don't like his political stance one bit and feel as a politician he did more harm than good ... but ... he has a very aggressive form of brain cancer and I don't see him returning to the Senate at least for any length of time if at all.  The median survival for primary gliobastoma is typically 14 months. He has to answer for anything he may have done. I do not relish in his anguish. Having lost a father to cancer, I empathize with his family.

I feel torn.  I have sympathy for his daughter,
but I've been disgusted with McCain for at least 20 years.
He became famous by going on the Sunday talk shows
always arguing for the Dems' policies.
In 2007, he went all out FOR illegal immigration.
I was horrified that, just five months later, he won the R nomination!
The 2008 election was OVER in FEBRUARY 2008!
I was equally horrified just last year, when he won another six year term.
The Alzheimer's State kept inflicting him on all of us for far too long.
I hope the Establishment can be blocked
by getting a DECENT replacement for The Old Traitor.
Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!
WY  Liz Cheney      SC 7  Tom Rice             WA 4  Dan Newhouse    IL 16  Adam Kinzinger    OH 16  Anthony Gonzalez
MI 6  Fred Upton    WA 3  Jaime Herrera Beutler    MI 3  Peter Meijer       NY 24  John Katko       CA 21  David Valadao

I completely understand; I feel the same disdain for his actions.  Those actions he will have to answer for very soon.  My prayers are for him as a human being dealing with brain cancer but more so for a family who is saddened; he is their hero.  Perhaps not our hero, but certainly theirs.

I lost a brother to a 77 year old bat who should have hung up her license before she drove her car into him while riding a bicycle and drug him 50 ft. Yes, I understand the bitterness others may be feeling and it's hard not to delight in someone's misfortune when they have wronged you.

In this case (IMHO) he wronged this country as a Senator and many as a serviceman. He's got to answer for that soon.

Solar I agree with you.  He is a RINO through and through.  He now has an incurable aggressive form of brain cancer.  He will have to answer for what he's done, soon.  I'm not saying one has to show compassion for him because he's a Senator or because he served in Nam ... not at all ... only that he is a human being whose days are very numbered and his family is losing someone they love.  Surely they have had to or will have to deal with his past.

My disdain for him is due to his traitorous actions over decades in the Senate. It matters not who he is, what matters most is that it took the hand of God to stop his destruction of this nation, I hold the same reverence for the likes of McCONnel, Ryan, Boehner etc.
Under the watch of McStain, the party has literally taken over the position the former Dim party once held.
For decades he and his ilk had the chance to move the country right, but he lied and paid lip service to his constituents as he moved this nation left.

Yes, the GOP has now taken up residence in the Dim party's former position, far Right of center, lead by the likes of the traitor McStain.

No, when I grew up, they shot traitors, not awarded them with positions of power.
I get it, you were raised to not speak ill of the dying, I too was raised that way, but where our nation and its preservation is concerned and those charged to defend our Constitution, not only ignore but purposefully trash our Rights, lose any and all right to dignity of any kind, and McStain is one of those people, and his immediate family hold partial responsibility for not stopping him.

No, screw him, I hope he feels the pain I felt watching him as he destroyed this nation year after year

We will obviously have to wait to see what is in the future for McCain. Should he resign from the senate the governor of AZ would appoint a replacement until an election is called. Does anybody know anything about the current governor?

For some reason I thought she was no longer in office. I suspect her appointment would be an improvement over McCain.

If the governor should appoint a congressman to take his place then it would lead to a special election.
