Tom DeLay thinks so and says Trump is right if he does. It worked extremely well for us then, so it's time to grow a spine, but that was before total RINO control.
God II love Trump!

"Back in 1995 when we took over the majority for the first time in 60 years we had a big shutdown because we had cut spending, we have eliminated a hundred programs, and Bill Clinton vetoed the bill, shut down the government," he said.

"It was the best thing to happen to the country, and it was the best thing that happened to Republicans, because from that we sent the message to Bill Clinton: honor our commitments to the American people. And from that we got welfare reform, a balanced budget, surplus in the government.

"And Bill Clinton did not get to sign one bill that he initiated for the next six years. It does work. It is a great tactic, and I'm so glad he's doing it now because this is going to nationalize the election ... give our people an opportunity to fight the Democrats on the national level."

DeLay had balls and that is why he was hated in Washington. Unfortunately, Ryan and McConnell do not share his courage.
"If you can't run with the big dawgs, stay on the porch!"
