QuoteNow, according to a report from CNBC, Tesla's mass firings have spread to SolarCity, a company which Musk just purchased last year despite warnings from concerned shareholders that it would be nothing more than a distraction.  While it's unclear how many people have been fired from each division, former employees estimate that some 1,200 people have been let go in total between the various Tesla entities.

It was such a sleazy thing to do.  Fire them, but if it has nothing to do with performance then don't brand them with that.  Libs are so demented.

If you fire them for not doing their job you don't pay the unemployment claim.  As I remember.

Nope, just preparing to move to China.

QuoteThe U.S. withdrawal will make it harder for the rest of the world to reach the Paris goals, not only because the U.S. produces about 15 percent of the world's carbon emissions, but also because the nation has been an important source of energy technology and financing for developing countries. The dropping of the agreement will also likely have international diplomatic fallout, as nearly all other nations have agreed to the accord.

"No one should be left behind, but the EU and China have decided to move forward," EU climate commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete told the BCC.

Domestic problems may also arise. Corporate America has strongly supported the Paris accord, including tech companies such as Apple, Google, and Tesla, and even fossil fuel producers such as Exxon Mobil. This support is based in the recognition that the U.S. will be less competitive on the global stage when it loses its place at the negotiating table — which this withdrawal may ensure. Meanwhile, coal jobs will not be coming back, and industries like solar continue to grow.

Let me rephrase that a little:

"The U.S. withdrawal will make it harder for the rest of the world because the nation has been an important source of financing."
"...coal jobs will be coming back, and industries like solar continue to (not) grow."

In just a couple of milliseconds, the entire Solar Electrical production in America can be destroyed with a Solar or EMP event.  Solar energy puts the USA at greater risk than burning clean coal.  A single volcanic eruption could cause months of diminished Solar energy production, not so with Clean Coal & fossil fuels.   And if we want to get into which causes greater pollution, I doubt anyone would want to live near a solar panel or battery production facility - that stuff will poison & kill you in the most agonizing way.

So, I actually agree with Elon Musk's move to CHINA - please go!  Set up camp in the midst of our enemy, and kill 'em off.  If they're dumb enough to finance you, all the better... you just stay there with them, please.   :ttoung:
