How did Ted Cruz phrase it recently? The swamp drains you....? Welcome to Bizarro World....
QuoteHouse Freedom Caucus leaders Mark Meadows, R-N.C., and Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, praised Donald Trump on Thursday as a "conservative" president, even as Trump continues to criticize them for not supporting the GOP's plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
"I think that Donald Trump is a conservative based on the Cabinet members he's picked, the Supreme Court nominee that he nominated, the budget he put forth," Meadows said in an interview with the Washington Examiner.

Probably a good strategy to say that. Makes Trump look like a smaller man than he already is. Soon he'll be so small he will resemble the size of his hands.
Chuckie Schumer is actually a Conservative and CIA plant in the Dim party with instructions to act like a commie and gather intelligence, the Easter bunny, and Santa are real superheroes we keep on call in the event of an alien invasion and illegal aliens are good for American culture.
Hey, if Trump can be a conservative, the rest of that shit can be just as true.
...Here I was thinking this was an April Fool's joke.
Maybe they issued that statement as a challenge to Trump to become what he claims to be?
Could also be a "get more flies with honey than vinegar" approach to closing the rift between the FC and the WH caused by Trump's recent rant.
Dunno. Meadows and Jordan continually stick to their guns as true conservatives, as is evidenced by the FC being instrumental in defeating the recent O-Care "replacement" fiasco. So I am not going to start doubting their commitment from one issued statement like this.

That's what it looks like. A taking of the high road, especially when considering a pissing match only benefits the Marxist Establishment.

My take is similar. I think Meadows is the adult in the room hoping that Trump will realize he can get nothing done without the FC. I personally believe Priebus is the guy with the desire to damage the FC. The conservatives gave him nightmates when he was the head of the RNC.
He's going after Amash and tweeting he'll destroy him in the primaries. At this point in time...I am very rapidly losing any hope of Trump walking anywhere near the conservative side. I'm actually beginning to once again feel it really didn't matter who won; Hildabeast or Trump...the establishment is getting what they want. Draining the swamp at this point in time is as likely as seeing a unicorn blow rainbow farts.

No, that would be the entire Obama era.
Amash will survive Trump's efforts. End of effing story.
