I'm thinking right now nobody wants any of the morass of paperwork that exists in this case to come to light if their name is on it. They can hear the jails doors slamming.

They'll be worse off, if they can't produce the paperwork. If you have no signed permission, then the question becomes who told you to do it. It's either that, or you did it on your own - which is even worse. So even if they're holding shredder parties, anyone with a brain is keeping copies - just in case. Remember John Dean. "First to talk, first to walk".
Seems to me this is just the thing Trump needs to justify draining the swamp! Let the purge begin!!

A title 3 warrant which is a criminal inquiry
A fisa warrant which is an intelligence inquiry
Trump would now have access to the paper trail that either of these warrants would leave behind!

The Wall Street Journal was first to report that investigators had looked at the calls. Among the communications being scrutinized are calls between Russia's ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, and Flynn on December 29.
The calls came on the same day the US announced further sanctions against Russia and expelled a group of 35 Russian diplomats the US had accused of spying.
