Title: Lets Not Dismiss the Pubs That Voted Against The RINO
Post by: Solar on January 02, 2013, 02:08:07 PM
It appears many are chastising the entire party over the actions of a minority of RINO in the party.
Can we focus on those that stood their ground and see to it the get the recognition they deserve?

That would be, 85 Republicans voted for the fiscal-cliff bill and 151 voted no.
Nearly two to one of the GOP did the Right thing, I'm not ready to throw the baby out with the bath water...

If they keep Boehner, I'm writing off the whole party! I have better things to do than waste my time on these fools!

All those morons who stood on "principle" (in their own mind), and sat out this presidential election are the ones I blame.  Everything would be completely different if Obeyme's time was up in a few short weeks.  You not only kept out a good man, you've emboldened an evil man. The Republican voter is as guilty as anyone.

Agreed.  To many of the voters, if someone was not 100% to their liking, they would pout and stay home.  Hope they enjoy the fruits of their boycott.

My favorite are the 1.5 million I have heard that wrote in Jesus on their ballot, they got him.
Jesus will make a grab for their guns too.

I didn't stay home this last election, I wanted to but I voted republican. Never ever will I fall into that trap again. My vote will be Tea Party or i'll stay on the couch.

But in the mean time I did vote so  I will express my voice on what a fool our votes turned out to be. Just look at Congress and do I need to say more. This is what we received for our vote, a weak ass Congress. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I will vote but never for a Rino again.

I still have some hope in that the leftists only get elected by mistake as a rule.

Carter - thanks to Nixon and Agnew, and a completely ineffectual Ford.

Clinton - completely because of Perot.  He gets killed by Bush 1 without Perot.

Obama - The racial thing, and war / recession fatigue.  And thanks to Putz McCain.

Obama's second election is the only one in the last 40 years that has it's own legs of any sort, and even that's driven by the 47-51% gimme-more-stuff crowd.

So we're still only in the start of the country's insanity.  But the few folks we can trust, and their fairly vulnerable conditions, are a problem.

Nearly two to one of the GOP did the Right thing, I'm not ready to throw the baby out with the bath water...

Only 9 Republicans opposed Boehner when push came to shove.

It's almost all bathwater and very little baby.

Walter Jones, NC
Louie Gohmert, TX
Tim Huelskamp, KS
Justin Amash, MI
Tom Massie, KY
Steve Pearce, NM
Jim Bridenstine, OK
Ted Yoho, FL
Paul Broun, GA

Ted Yoho is a friend of the family... go Ted!!!

I'm very, very disappointed my rep, Tom Price (GA), isn't on here.  He has been solid in so much, and one of the very few I like.  He has been in for 10 years or so now, so this is another case-in-point for term limits; he is a strong conservative and I can always count on him for the right votes, but over time, as an imperfect human, he maybe became close with Boehner and likes him, affecting his judgement.

-- on a wim, I checked the Heritage Action scorecard on Tom Price.  He got a 78%, which is a lot lower than I would expect...  I need to go back over his voting record and see what I'm missing.

Far too little, far too late.  What are we supposed to do with 9 principled guys out of ~600 in both houses ?  Apparently everybody in the senate voted for the taxes-only-cliff bill.

I've heard that they only needed 3 more nays or abstains to get rid of Boehner.  Is this true ?  I don't how the math even works in that scenario.

Expect the 9 guys to lose any and all authority / clout for crossing the king.  He already did it to one group of GOP reps.  Amazing, I thought that we had only this kind of threat and destruction from the leftists, not our own GOP leaders.  What a effed-up situation.
