My father was a solid democrat conservative, for instance, so I know there are some- very few as it turns out- who are democrats and conservative.
My only gripe is with the immediate reaction- reflex-like- which has some willing to throw Laura over regardless of all her previous unquestionably conservative actions and views. She may have "effed-up this one" , but to use that one instance as a reason to totally reject her past history of being one of the few who publicly castigate liberals and promote conservatism.... I think that is being simply unfair and playing right in to the hands of the very destructive radical left.

Laura caved and apologized to a Turd - who immediately rejected her contrition.
She should apologize to her listeners (in this case former listener), who have supported her all these years. We had respect for her and her opinions. And have made us look like fools, IMHO, for placing our trust in someone so feckless.
