Krugman Lets Cat Out of Bag: Palin Was Right on Death Panels

(snip)

KRUGMAN:  They should have said, "Okay, look, Medicare is going to have to decide what it's going to pay for. And at least for starters, it's going to have to decide which medical procedures are not effective at all and should not be paid for at all." In other words, it should have endorsed the panel that was part of the health care reform.  If the commission isn't even brave enough to take on the death panels people, then it's doing no good at all.

Christiane Amanpour says, "Look, what's gonna happen? I mean are you clear on where a compromise is gonna be?  It's gotta be discussed before the end of the year, no?"

KRUGMAN:  No. Some years down the pike we're gonna get the real solution, which is gonna be a combination of death panels and sales taxes.  It's going to be that we're actually gonna take Medicare under control and we're gonna have to get some additional revenue, probably from a VAT.

For all you skeptics (because it's source is from Limbaugh's show) HERE'S THE VIDO OF KRUGMAN MAKING THESE COMMENTS.....

Of course she was right, it's like buying a car and taking into consideration the longterm cost of maintenance, at some point the car will cost more to repair than simply junking it and selling off the parts.

The HC bill is the same, at some point repair will be too costly, and its cheaper to just junk the guy for his parts.

Imagine that.  A federal government panel full of Jack Kevorkians.  Kevorkian went to prison.  These politicians should, but they won't.

The Death Panels will no doubt be set up following the RED CHINESE model of having local "citizen comrades" on all manner of government boards/panels.  Here's a sampling of your typicl g'ment appointed bureaucrat to such Boards...

ANY DOUBT THAT SUCH USEFUL IDIOTS WILL DO EXACTLY WHATEVER THEIR SUPERIORS TELL THEM?

A few selected quotes from Mr. Krugman:

August 13, 2009: "Right now, the charge that's gaining the most traction is the claim that health care reform will create "death panels" (in Sarah Palin's words) that will shuffle the elderly and others off to an early grave. It's a complete fabrication, of course."

August 20, 2009: "It seems as if there is nothing Republicans can do that will draw an administration rebuke: Senator Charles E. Grassley feeds the death panel smear, warning that reform will "pull the plug on grandma," and two days later the White House declares that it's still committed to working with him."

October 4, 2009: "The Republican campaign against health care reform, by contrast, has shown no such consistency. For the main G.O.P. line of attack is the claim — based mainly on lies about death panels and so on — that reform will undermine Medicare. And this line of attack is utterly at odds both with the party's traditions and with what conservatives claim to believe."

March 21, 2010: "Politicians like Sarah Palin — who was, let us remember, the G.O.P.'s vice-presidential candidate — eagerly spread the death panel lie, and supposedly reasonable, moderate politicians like Senator Chuck Grassley refused to say that it was untrue. On the eve of the big vote, Republican members of Congress warned that "freedom dies a little bit today" and accused Democrats of "totalitarian tactics," which I believe means the process known as "voting."

There are hypocrites, and there are progressives. But I repeat myself. ::)

Great comparison.  You should also consider if you have a bad heart but great knees they may want you to sign over those parts before they let you die... :o :o

Don't forget the mesmerizing of the LIBTARD SHEEPLE, who HOPE for a CHANGE they can BELIEVE IN.  The idiots don't seem to care if they turn over the power of life and death (and everything about our quallioty of life in between) as long as their Leaders tell them they are the chosen people who will reap all the benefits in reward for their party loyalty!

This is the only reasonable explanation for the run of the mill LIBTARD's continual attempt to defend the indefensible; including but not limited to, members of their party's leadership's expressed views about the benefit to society of eugenics!  These run of the mill MOKES think that just because they applaud them and vote them into power, that they will be the few to receive special 'treatment' from the new Amerika they hope to one day create and control!
