Yes, China is at large to blame for the continuous harboring of North Korea, and I ask this next question out of a desire to learn, about the true effects of how these Tariffs are going to put the pressure on China to act differently towards North Korea? I remember reading an article some time ago that China could end the war with North Korea due to their large financial support and aid to the country, but I do feel as though this pressure by Trump on China could drive Xi towards North Korea more as a form of retaliation.

History is Man's foremost teacher; so some facts.
* In 1894, China and Japan went to war over which would control/influence Korea; w/Japan crushing China in 9
months in the First Sino-Japanese War.
* In 1905, Czarist Russia decided Japan was getting uppity and decided to teach them a lesson, sending its
Grand Fleet to engage Japan in the Strait of Tsushima, adjacent to Korea. After 20 hours of battle 35 Russian
dreadnoughts and more than 40,000 of their sailors lay at the bottom on the Sea, w/the remaining 10 warships
crippled and beached; compliments of Togo (yes him).
* In 1910 Japan annexed Korea and occupied it till 1945.
Japan not China, wears the big boy pants on the western Pacific Rim and has for more than 200 years. Reality.
As for Tariffs, they are far more deadly for China who exports 4x more than they import.
Additionally their Financial System is a newborn compared to that of the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan,
the Federal Reserve and others.
What's neither appreciated nor understood by jurno yappers is that China was ruled by autocratic Dynasties for
3,500 years from the Shang to the Manchu in 1912, then followed by 100 years of Dictators.
Consequently their culture has no heritage of creativity/innovation. Instead they cheat, lie and steal to survive!
China's strategy to counter the Tariff's has been to devalue (cheapen) their Yuan; a long term recipe for disaster.
At it's zenith of power the British Empire had the strongest currency (Sterling) in the world; not the weakest.
Ignore the squealing from the crony capitalist gang.
Trump's objective is real simple: to change behavior!!!
