MS will probably stay rep, but with a much smaller margin than in the  past. I know im going to hear how  everything will be fine  in 2020 but this  night  is a disaster and dem enthusiasm is  quite high.

Its funny listening to Mark Levin tonight. Its 1020pm and  its  clear his show  is  on tape because  he  is saying there is still time left to vote  in KY and VA and he  is  confident freedom loving  voters will surprise dems. They didnt.

It looks like the same old story. KY election maps look like a sea of red with a few blue areas. In this case Lexington, Louisville and Frankfort are the population centers and the Dems won big. It looks like Bevin dropped 7 pts in Jefferson Co./Louisville from 2015 to 2019 which would certainly explain the loss.

If not for Bevin losing by a few thousand votes, it would have been a GOP sweep...

It looked about the same at 50% precincts counted last night, that it was going to be a near sweep.

Its  pretty  clear a wave of dem enthusiasm is developing. Probably will be alot  more rep congressional retirements  very  soon, within days.

True, but Bevin should have won that....  why did he not win?  I'm looking forward to the breakdowns...

I think it boils down to you can't polish a turd.

I said in 2018 reps would lose the house and senate while most on here said both were safe. They lost the  house big and  hung  onto the senate. 2020 they lose the senate. One other thing about VA. The dem gov, AG, and lt gov wearing black face and being accused of rape didnt matter a twit. Dems stick together. At trumps trial in the senate alot of reps will vote guilty to get rid  of  him.

Beshear only on by 5000 votes; less than a percentage point.  2% of the vote went to the third party candidate,  All the other races were won by Republicans.  I suspect the defeat of Matthew Bevin had far more to do with the 28, 426 votes that went to the Libertarian candidate, John Hicks, than any external factor.

That doesnt explain VA and MS being  much closer than it should  have been.

I'll play along to a point as a devil's advocate; perhaps the never ending hoaxes of The Resistance Movement and the constant barrage of anti-Trump propaganda from the corrupt, fake news media, is responsible for some measure of success in a few close races.

Three things come to mind...

1.  there sure are a whole lot of stupid people on the Left

2.  President Trump was not on the ballot this year

3.  it's a long ways until November (2020).  A whole lot can happen between now and then which will expose the Far Left's Impeachment Hoax and the criminal acts which have been committed to derail President Trump's candidacy and overthrow him ever since he won the Presidency, in 2016.

BEVIN REFUSES TO CONCEDE AS KENTUCKY GOVERNOR RACE TOO CLOSE TO CALL

Republican incumbent Governor Matt Bevin refused to concede last night in Kentucky's gubernatorial race, citing unspecified "irregularities" — potentially kickstarting weeks of uncertainty as the closely-watched contest with national implications remains too close to call.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Bevin was behind Democratic Attorney General Andy Beshear by 5,333 votes out of more than 1.4 million counted, 49.2 percent to 48.8 percent. Libertarian candidate John Hicks received 2 percent.

The history-making evening also saw Republicans decisively hold onto the governorship in Mississippi despite a fierce Democratic challenge, while electing Kentucky's first black attorney general. Democrats, meanwhile, took complete control over the Virginia statehouse for the first time in 26 years.

The Associated Press said it could not declare a winner, owing to the tight margin. The Democratic National Committee and Beshear's campaign, however, claimed victory.

One issue that should  help reps  is the great economy. Didnt seem to matter  in conservative KY or liberal VA.

Every time this happens, I have to wonder if the liberals don't PAY some no chance in HELL of winning BOZO to run on the Independent Party or the Libertarian Party or the Green Party ... JUST to split the vote count that would otherwise BURY the liberal candidate.  It happened with Perot, and in so many other elections.

Elections SHOULD be held this way...

Ballot #1 - Do you want candidates with CONSERVATIVE VALUES or SOCIALIST VALUES to hold this office?  NO NAMES are given.

Everyone votes, and in KENTUCKY, the vote would be solidly CONSERVATIVE.

Ballot #2, held a YEAR later, AFTER the candidates who all embrace the chosen DIRECTION the country should have have had plenty of time to campaign  - "Do you want Conservative candidate #1, #2, or #3?"

Obama won with the steady 42% of the vote, which means 58% of the country DID NOT WANT that filthy traitorous homosexual Sodomite as president.  But our election system put him in TWICE, by splitting the conservative vote.

Our system is FLAWED, and we will continue to put these filthy animals into office against the will if the majority that the LIBERAL voters keep b*tching about counting until that system is CHANGED so that the PLATFORM of all possible winning candidates are shared by those from among whom the Electoral College shall make it's choice.
