It's often referred to as "Freedom of Association", from the 1st Amendment... yeah the one that's under assalt lately by liberal college professors and ignorant students.  Freedom to associate or dis-associate yourself with other groups or individuals is pretty basic.  But liberal politicians can't seem to grasp the concept.  Take away that right, and are we going to start having Government rallys with YOUR attendance required (or jail time)?  Show your patriotism or face penalties/taxes and/or loss of your government given liberty.

Oh my GOD!!!   (channeling Levin for effect...)  They'd never do that!  This is a free country, they can't make it mandatory you attend a government event!   Obama-care.  You will participate or else.

There is no "right to not be offended" - although it would appear that's much more important to John Kasich than the 1st Amendment.

Oh, yeah, in case you think Donald Trump is going to vigorously protect your 1st amendment rights - sorry!   He's for implementing measures to allow parties to SUE YOUR ASS for what otherwise would be protected under the 1st Amendment.

Legislating any particular religion's texts and or scriptures, as having any sort of legal standing.

Is every bit as dangerous to the liberty or our republic. The very first thing the framers did, when adding the bill of rights, was to ensure government's ability to legislate and "tell us" anything about religion, one way or another was very limited.

As in non existent limited. Yep that's right ladies and gents, this is precisely why, these "hate crimes" bull crap you keep hearing about.

They, for the first time, attempt to criminalize thought. Not intent to commit a criminal act, that's already on the books.

Not the actual criminal act itself. But the reasoning, the thought or lack thereof depending on how you see it.

If we allow that as a republic, then we also run the very dangerous risk, of opening the door to government walking in and telling us, today. How you interpret say the Bible is wrong, so we're going to criminalize that. And tomorrow, "How you interpret the torah is wrong so it's off to the prisons for you now" and on down the line as it see's fit.

America will be like ancient Rome was. With a new state religion depending on who happens to be in power at the time.

Kasich as usual shows his liberal leftist socialist leanings. In throwing out the Constitutional limits placed on government when it comes to the first amendment of the Constitution. And instead pushing something which is just like Obamacare, absolutely un-Constitutional folks.

That what ya's want sitting in the Oval office? I sure don't. Sorry Kasich, I might be an Ohioan, but my first loyalty is to God, followed very closely after by the U.S. Constitution. The answer is simple though, really.

Government, stay the hell out of the issue altogether as the Constitution tells you to do. Voila problem solved.
