Washington (CNN) - House Republican Leader John Boehner said Wednesday that he plans to continue to fly commercial airplanes to and from his Ohio home even after he becomes House speaker in January–a change from Speaker Pelosi's current use of military planes.

"I have talked to our security folks about the security that's involved in my new role. But over the last 20 years I have flown back and forth to my district on a commercial aircraft and I am going to continue to do that," Boehner told reporters on Capitol Hill.

Say --- does Nancy Pelosi also receive fewer federal protection service personnel, now that she's out of power? How long would she actually go without private jets of SOME sort, rather than endure fewer bodyguards to not protect her against other commercial passengers?

Google's in tight with Obama. Maybe they'll donate a plane and fuel, after she's carried Obama's own Flight of the Phoenix straight into the ground.

Back in 1994, I flew on a non-stop flight from Phoenix to BWI (Baltimore) with none other than John McCain sitting in First Class.  He seemed perfectly comfortable to me.

What? He's not asking for his own presidential plane like Pelosi did? I'm shocked. What is this country coming to? ;)

I heard on FNC yesterday that someone is going to challenge Steele, but durn if I can think of who it is.  It was someone I don't know, I think.  As for Boehner, he has the experience of running the show and knows the ins and outs.  It's a position where experience helps, I think.

Former Michigan GOP chief Saul Anuzis has announced candidacy, but many others are expected to join.
