Crimea by great majority of the people there, voted for returning back to Russia, where Crimea was since 1783.  And they could do it safely, without threat from nazis in Kiev, thanks to russian navy base, that also in Crimea for more than 200 years.

Remember, after the Russians got finished murdering half the populations of many of their minor "republics", they replaced them with ethnic Russians, who were considered more "politically reliable". Thus many of these former Soviet territories have large minorities of Russians, all of whom remember when they were the "Top Dogs". All of these Russians have little - if any - loyalty to their new states, and would prefer to be back in Russia - where they could lord it over their neighbors again. Given the chance, Putin will use these large Russian minorities to reclaim these territories. Sudetenland, anyone?

Except that the majority of the Native American population died of diseases, to which they had no immunity, not via man made famines. As for those old Nazis they were National Socialists, as opposed to the International Socialists of the old Soviet Union. Of course the old International Socialists are gone, replace by the National Socialist, Putin. 
BTW, anytime I see one of those "the Americans are just as bad" posts, I get very suspicious.
