\Which is why I say let the Dims float the Impeachment balloon.
Making the case for Impeachment would draw the ire of the left, in turn, giving them the opportunity to surround the wagons and use it as just one more distraction.

There is a process to bring it to the forefront, one being, selling the public majority on the idea, so lets let the Dims carry the burden if there is a case to be made.
We've already seen how the leftist media is willing to run cover for Marxism and all that entails, so pushing the GOP to bear all the weight that entails, let the Dims bear the brunt.
AGREED!   Ronald Reagan's "Reagan Democrats" didn't wake up one day and decide they were now conservatives; they simply got fed up with Jimmy Carter, the Misery Index and carter's blaming them (along with all Americans) for the trouble he and his policies created.  Essentially, Democrats fired, not only Carter, but the entire direction of their party's Leadershipr.  (Most of these same 'Reagan Democrats' went back to their Liberal ways eventually...but HELL hath no fury as a Liberal scorned and like a frenzied animal stuck in a trap, they'll chew off their own durn leg, to get free of someone they come to "FEEL" has done them dirty! (and libs are all about how they.."feel")

I forgot about that. Consider how he screwed the Sheikh, got our people captured and held hostage by what would later turnout too be the current Iranian leadership.
Then all the issues about oil, which we suffer today, all thanks to, what used to be the worst potus in history.

Now we have a Marxist, an individual whose damage is unrivaled by some of the worlds worst despots, in our very own WH.
Yes, I agree, the libs have already turned against him, and the party is next. I just say we wait for the moderate faction of the party to start rebelling against the leadership that's held them hostage.
Sit back and let the blood letting begin. Hell, we may not have too lift a finger. As Supersales refers to, don't stand in the enemies way when their shooting themselves in the foot.

I disagree.  He doesn't care if he destroys the Democratic party; he himself has absolutely NOTHING to lose.  Obama can make things even worse for this country and has already made Congress ineffective.  So, the only chance we have a stopping him is IMPEACHMENT.  Yes, there is a chance we could lose, but if we don't try we will definitely lose...we've lost on Obamacare, immigration, Iraq, VA, IRS, etc., etc., he refuses to comply, he refuses to listen to his advisers, and you and many others seem to think we're going to survive his overreach and non-compliance for another two years!

What you are proposing is to sit and wait until the Marxist completely takes over because you don't want to take a chance at stopping him.  Come January we will have the best chance ever of stopping him.  We won't have another chance if we don't stop him now.  I don't know about you but I at least think we need to try impeachment.  I'm not so sure that if he is impeached that he will even comply with that and certainly if we don't try impeachment I doubt we are going to see another election.

You seem to think that the new Congress will be able to stop him otherwise.  Exactly how?  Don't try to tell me defunding  that hasn't work ... he was ordered by the DOJ to produce documents, etc., and that didn't work because he refused to comply claiming executive privilege.  So you tell me, what else is left?

Do not fight a war you are not sure to win. Is your memory so short that you do not remember how the Clinton impeachment was a disaster. It accomplished nothing for us, but did energize the democrats. Having total control of congress allows the GOP to be a constant pan for Obama. He then will continue his over reach and further hurt the democrats and they know it. Do you understand the difference between impeachment and removal from office?

House Seats???  We have an overwhelming historical majority in the House.  The Senate of course will be the deciding factor.

So, because we think we would lose, we shouldn't try??  Nothing else has worked.  So, we continue to let the Marxist get away with whatever he wants because we fear him???  Good grief, a GOP tidal wave took place and you think we should stand down??  The American people voted and to me, want his overreach stopped.  We can't do that by continuing to let him play his game of dictator.  We are a REPUBLIC and if we don't do something we will be living under a dictatorship!
I never said "Stand Down" ANYWHERE ON THIS FORUM/BOARD cut it out , you are speculating about what I wish we would do ,as opposed to what I think may happen...

Solar; You're  obviously old enough to have forgotten more than a lot (most) people may ever know!   Recall, the era of Jimmy ("lust in my heart") Carter was far worse recession than this one and the foreign policy problems were aruably as great or greater!  These Marxists want to turn everything into a doomsday crisis to scare everyone into doing their bidding!

"lust in my heart."

Ahhh yes, great times. Granted, that recession was bad, or worse for many, with interest rates hovering around 21%, which made it extremely difficult for many to weather the storm, I believe this depression is by far worse for the nation as a whole.
In fact, if not for credit, and UE-3 Infinite funding, giving the illusion that the mkt is safe, when it's all just a house of cards.
Historians will look back on this time and conclude this to be the darkest days since the Civil war.

But you're right, the Marxists love nothing more than seeing the nation suffer, so they can come in and rescue us with food stamps, and make us dependents of the state.

Damned if they didn't almost succeed.

Yeah,  you hit the most significant difference right on the mark; Carter was the Libtarded Dunce he remains until this day! BUT, Carter wasn't a  Marxist or even a radical.
