Israel is the ever-patient big brother who must kick his ever-annoying / mouthy / nasty little brothers' asses, every now and then.
The best part is to see that all their bluster is paper thin, again and again. They never really have the goods to back up all their threats and posturing.
Always an ass-whipping, resulting in the big-mouths quickly reverting to "waaaaaaaahhh they're picking on us". But they'll be back tomorrow announcing how tough they are, and how they will be wiping Israel off the map any day now. Until their next ass-waxing.

A brief anecdote, hopefully related to topic.
I have never grasped all the ballyhoo about Russian Military superiority.
For example:
* They emerged from the shadows under Peter the Great and almost
immediately were handed their ass by Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden.
* Next century they were Napoleon's punching bag for 15 years.
* Later in the Crimean War, it was more of the same versus Britain.
* In 1914, they formed two 300,000 man armies and invaded East Prussia,
until Hindenburg encircled them at Tannenberg (a modern Cannae) inflicting
250,000 casualties on one Army and driving the other back to Russia, in
effect knocking them out of the War.
* In WW2, Lend-Lease kept them breathing until Adolph exhausted the
German Armies w/his crackpot strategic vision.

Russia simoly is a Big country that spends its money on its Armies, their equipment is crap. The Israeli's just proved that....again.
