We still have safeguards in place that can detect nuclear material small enough to fit in a suitcase bomb....At least I hope they are still in place but with Hussein around who knows.....we are ineffeicent at detecting diseases or too lax....look how many Mexicans sneak into the country untested or unchecked.

No, but border security is the number one issue.

If fences don't work, we'll take that one down that surrounds the White House.

Yes, a WALL is another VERY effective layer of national security.

I can think of a lot of things besides using nukes.  I imagine our security forces have thought up lots of things too, even if just to prepare for them.

As I've stated, these were viable plans of AQ terrorists in the past....like around 2005, when that Banana Famer Chavez was in power and willing to go along with crazy stunts like that but one of the main deterrents to success of such plan was the vigilance of US forces particularly the Navy.

That's the thing, why waste your time smuggling in a nuke that might take out a city block, when you can buy tons of poison on the open market that could effect millions.
I know of several scenarios that could wreck havoc, but I don't want to give these fools any ideas.

What would that be? What could do more damage than a small nuke smuggled across our open border into a large city? I'm talking about independent terrorists with connections, not nations setting off a nuke over the center of our country.
