All I wanted to do was give kudos to the people who were involved with creating this forum, and now the topic has shifted to LNF and the liberal turds over there.  I don't even bother with LNF anymore.  I think I've been over there maybe once or twice since this forum opened for business.

Sorry I started this.

Got carried away. Sorry.

Okay, I'm confused again, and I'll admit I just pass through here once every day.  This is a conservative political forum.  I got that part of it.  But why is so much time being spent on trashing a liberal who isn't even here?  What's the fun of that?  From my perspective, you guys need some people who disagree with you so that you can actually argue/debate them in person, so to speak.  The good Lord knows you're bright enough to do that.

IMO, this forum could really be great if more views were presented.  Just my thoughts.

Like what type of views?

Like what type of views?

The views of the morally bankrupt, the baby killers, the mentally ill, the sociopaths, and the ignoramuses.

You know, the views of a typical liberal/Democrat/progressive/socialist/marxist/communist.

Non-conservative or non-Republican.
The only reason I would want a "Non-conservative or non-Republican" would be to prove them wrong, and nothing else.
There is only right and wrong, no in between.

Don't you get bored talking with people who agree with you all the time?  What kind of a discussion is that?  Even in Bible classes I've attended, there have been some fairly heated discussions.

I never said I didn't want them here, I merely stated I would prove them wrong.
Which is why they won't come here, we are one sharp group of posters.

Joining and visiting numerous forums since the advent of the web, I can honestly say the people on this forum are in the top 10% as far as intellect and quality.
That is, political forums.

We certainly don't agree on everything "all the the time".  There have been some heated discussions in here on many occasions, but the DIFFERENCE is that in the end, we act like mature, coherent adults, and agree to disagree.  I submit my opinion of Sarah Palin as an example.

Personally, I don't want to waste my time trying to have "discussions" with IDIOTS and mentally unstable people.......the kind of people who pollute the LNF.

I don't want to have to worry about being personally attacked all the time, or being disrespected by a bunch of playground bullies.  That's why I choose to call this forum my "home".

I would rather share ideas, share opinions, and have civil and mature conversations with the people in this forum.

ST, thanks for mentioning all of the folks who helped make this forum possible.  I only mentioned a couple of people.  Once again, many thanks to Solar and Taxed, and also Dan and Bert, and a special thanks to Quiller for the "logo" and for all of the hilarious pictures and cartoons he posts, as well as the "quote of the day".

That pretty much says it all AF, it isn't the forum, it's the people.
Anyone can start a forum, but it's the individual members that make it work.

If all people want to do is to argue, then LNF is their place, but if they want engaging and enlightening exchanges/debates, then this is the place.

Crepe mentions we need more people with alternate opinion (not Republican, and/or not conservative), and although we continue to argue over definitions (and lines of demarcation), the idea is still sound but sometimes absolutely unworkable.

At LNF there is now a selfstyled 40-year-old Faceplant user who sat through one VERY tight recap of what Dems have done to Detroit --- and her one-line summary was along the lines of "My Democrat friends are right. Republicans are all racists." Or words to that general effect.

No, don't ever admit that ONE party controlled America's single worst urban failure. Not if it's YOUR party, anyway.

Liberals do not read outside their comfort zone. They do not think outside the talking points they are provided, in lieu of independent thought. And while the GOP does have its own spear-carriers and droolers, one central point does remain clear.

In any fair debate, using ESTABLISHED MAINSTREAM SOURCES, the conservative will be far better-equipped to handle a debate. The reason? We grew up having to defend our positions and we do know what to expect as leftists STANDARD responses to our arguments. The Left (which believes that anyone who disagrees with "progressives" is by definition a racist) does not even bother to argue. They get confronted and instantly fall back to their own comfort zone---blanket idiocy.
