For two years the LSM, lead virtually every news day with "Trump Russian Collusion". Now the truth comes out that it was an actual velvet Coup to overthrow a sitting President.

The question no longer,, was it Fake News? Rather, were they complacent in the over throw of a duly elected President, and lied to help the Marxist Dim party, or were they truly so stupid as to believe the lies being presented by the Marxist Dim party?

I think we all know the truth. So, wouldn't this in the least fall under slander laws or even misprision? (Branzburg v. Hayes, 408 U.S. 665, 92 S. Ct. 2646, 33 L. Ed. 2d 626 [1972], quoting william blackstone)

Either way, the country can no longer trust our media to give us the truth. It is time for recourse.

That's a given, there will be prosecutions.

But the topic is, a lying media that covered up a coup they were complicit in, and lied to the public to see it come to fruition.

The First Amendment protects a free press regardless, with two exceptions, slander and misprision. Slander is a prosecutable offence, and hiding behind "Press Confidentiality" (misprision) has been shot down by the courts.
Point is, we know they blatantly lied and we need to get to the bottom of this and prosecute those who knowingly lied to the public under the guise of "Freedom of the Press".

I would agree. But there also easier paths.  Just remove their broadcast licenses. The FCC has that power already.  Shut down CNN, NBC, and the rest of these lying fucks. Won't stop the NYT, or WaPo, but it goes a long way and maybe sends them a message.

Yep, but only after prosecution. Lets first focus on the commie appeasing reporters, then we can yank their licences.

I say pull their licenses. I put as the same as arresting somebody and not giving them bail because they are a threat to society.

As distasteful and corrupt as the news services are we should tread carefully on silencing them with any means. The first amendment must be protected. The best way to deal with these leftists is deny them our eyes and ears. Then the bottom line will silence them.
