After getting their asses kicked in virtually every time slot by Fox News Channel for many, many years, and after undergoing numerous personnel changes for many, many years, maybe CNN has FINALLY figured out that being cheerleaders and shills for the radical left really isn't a winning "formula" for a cable news channel.

I'll never know for sure, because I avoid CNN like the plague.  Can't stand Anderson Cooper.  Can't stomach Larry King.  They are all amateurs and lefty operatives.

CNN lost me for life at the televised funeral of Ronald Reagan. I remember a split screen where they simultaneously showed Nancy Reagan draped over her husband's coffin and crying and the other half of the screen and the audio were filled with two CNN reporters making snide, hateful comments with malicious smirks on their faces. It was infuriating and I will carry that memory with me until I die.

The night Reagan was shot, NPR carried HOURS of hateful comments levied by joyous leftists celebrating the idea he could die from the attack. They sounded just as nuts as the actual psychopath doing the shooting.

And that is one of the many reasons I never give them money when they aggressively panhandle for donations twice per year.

Until they stop acting like I'm the enemy, they really have no reason to expect me to give them money.

The way I see it is, just like News Week, they were sold off for a buck.
The free mkt will deal with it, assuming these leftists don't try and bail them out, but if left to their own devices, they will simply go the way that many news papers across the Country did.

Point is, some young inspiring conservative will buy them cheap and change their message, it's inevitable, the socialists Utopia dream for this Country is dead, they just don't know it yet, like the body of a snake, cut off it's head, and the body is still alive.

That's the dead-tree media. Labor and paper costs are squeezing the media exactly in the same way as it did in the Pulp Era, where cheap newsprint was widespread for magazines until huge paper cost hikes drove them out of business.

As for labor, any publication agreeing to any union activity whatsoever fully deserves the labor costs it sustains. Good luck when you catch a union steward toking up on the back dock, and the entire plant shuts down in sympathy strikes.

Over on the Internet, however, it will be a different story because Republicans mistrust the medium and can't quite overcome some appallingly-bad applications of the Internet like they have been doing. The Republican Party site is an open festering joke for presenting anything to engage a modern independent seeking more about the party and its positions. It stinks on dry ice and the GOP will do nothing to fix it. So they deserve what THEY get.

Leftists will clearly dominate on the tech side for bells-and-whistles gimmickry in presenting communist agitprop by the electronic bale (or baleful, the way it'll be phrased).

Killing the dead-tree media will not end the info-wars. He who can best Google-bomb to show the enemy's bad side just might win in 2010 and in 2012. The Googlebombing now underway from the Kos Kidz is a current real example.

Years ago the evening newpaper in my area was the Raleigh Times.It folded and we  still had the morning News&Observer.The N&O has been in financial straits for many many years now.As of late it must have gotten a lot worse.Everytime I walk into a local supermarket,there is a guy with a large stack of papers INSIDE the store giving papers away.!  I would guess that he's trying to sign people up for home delivery.

I get a call all the time, from the Sacramento Bee, owned by the McClatchy family, a bunch of libs.
They tell me I can have the paper free for a month.
I always tell them since my bird died, I have no use for it anymore.
Then I tell them I used it to drive him crazy, by insulting his intelligence and making him read it.

  My local paper is full of chit...I cancelled it, they keep calling and I tell them the same thing over and over...when your editor gets fired, ill give you a try again.
   The NYTimes sends me solicitations all the time...I put it in SASE postage paid and write across your paper is only good for toilet paper and they pay postage for me to send it to them
