People want regime change...

Anti-government protests have continued in Iran for a third day, with reports of demonstrations in many cities despite warnings from authorities.

At Tehran University, protesters called for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to step down and there were clashes with police.

Demonstrators ignored the interior minister's warning that citizens should avoid "illegal gatherings".

Meanwhile, thousands of pro-government demonstrators turned out for rallies.

These official rallies were organised in advance of the anti-government protests, to mark the eighth anniversary of the suppression of major street protests in 2009.

The current protests began in the north-east on Thursday over living standards and by Friday had spread to several major cities.

Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli urged people not to take part "as they will create problems for themselves and other citizens", but videos posted online suggest that protests were held on Saturday in at least nine cities across the country.

The Iranian authorities are blaming anti-revolutionaries and agents of foreign powers for the outbreak of protests. The communications minister has also urged Telegram, a popular mobile messaging app in Iran, to stop "promoting violence".

In the US, the Trump administration warned Iran overnight that the world was watching its response. Iran's foreign ministry called the comments "opportunistic and deceitful".

@realDonaldTrump
Many reports of peaceful protests by Iranian citizens fed up with regime's corruption & its squandering of the nation's wealth to fund terrorism abroad. Iranian govt should respect their people's rights, including right to express themselves. The world is watching! #IranProtests

There are a ton of articles on it, lots of updates.  One protester was asking, "Where are the Billions?"     Someone forgot to tell him, "That's for Nukes, as in weapons, not microwaving potatoes..."

Pray for these people, and those helping them.   Every pivotal moment in a country's history needs prayer for guidance.

This is a real opportunity for Trump. Talk about a DISTRACTION for the current leadership - this is it. Their asses are in potential trouble. An internal change is the best case scenario for the USA. I hope the CIA is at work.

Just think about how a change in Iran would affect the fat boy in NK. Also, all the meddling in Iraq and ME would be changed. Perfect opportunity.

Exactly!
I think Trump is miles ahead of us where geopolitics is concerned.
I have no doubt Trump is moving the chess pieces on the board and NK is simply a pawn to be taken.
I'm quite impressed with the changes around the globe taking place, be it putting the UN on notice, flipping off France and its AGW scam, or backing the SA Prince, he has been one seriously busy guy. I think he was Right when he said he "picks only the best and brightest" for a given position.

China and Russia must be scrambling to try and keep up with the way he's rearranging all the players in the game. They have to be pissed.

Where did they dredge up these old hardline communist journalists?   The "Central Committee" - ding, ding, ding - Red Alert!

On second thought, ISIS and Communism do have one major commonality - killing people.

Russia has always had their hand in Iran since the days of the Czar, Stalin stole about 1/3 of the country after ww2, he was trying for the rest of it when they put their Puppet in charge. The Cia and the Brits toppled this guy and put the Shah in pace. Since that day the KGB made mischeif with this Tudeh party, they started the revolution not the Ayatollah or the Islamo fanatics.

I can't help but wonder who is really behind this newest brawl....perhaps Putin doesn't want a nuclear armed Iran either.

I would not be surprised. Putin has no love for Jihadists. He would just as soon keep them a third world nuisance.

I think you may be onto something. Times are not the same as a short decade ago, with the advent of Fracking, the demise of OPEC, oil isn't the sought after forbidden fruit of last century, so Putin needed to rethink his grip on EU Ng supplies, seeing how the EU can easily get it from us cheaper with no strings attached, he may very well have reconsidered an armed Iran.
Remember back, just before Fracking took the world by storm, Russia was helping Kohmeni achieve nuclear status, now he and Trump came to an agreement over Syria, a pawn in the M/E power game.

Things don't seem as they appear anymore. One thing for certain, the left is crumbling and losing its death grip on the world and they're in a panic over it.

The end game for Russia even BEFORE Stalin has always been Iran/Persian Gulf the Jewel in Mother Russia's cap. They might have helped Khomeni/Iran with the idea that they could always stop them before Iran made the quantum leap. Perhaps that day is here.

I was just about to post something about the crowds growing larger... until I noticed the RT in the corner.

Again, the Russian propaganda machine is determined to create a different narrative.
