Politics have always been part of my life, but more now than ever before. I have one son and another on the way. I am currently in school and we are focusing on a discourse community that interests us. Right now my main focus has been the Conservative party. I feel they aline best with my beliefs and are trying to better this country. We live in trying times, with our economy starting on a downhill spiral to the disaster that we call our president that has been in office the last eight years. Not a day goes by that I don't worry about my family's future. We need change and we need it fast. I know that president Obama ran with the slogan of "Change". We as a country are worse off than we have ever been since Obama took office. Our enemies no longer fear us and what little allies that we have left feel betrayed by us.  President Obama has brought back the race war on levels that I have never seen before. He supports Black Lives Matters group, when he should be supporting all lives matter. I worry because now it seems like it is completely ok to be racist. Our law enforcement are more frighten then ever to put on their badge and go to work. It is a scary world when the ones you swore to protect have a bounty on the heads of those trying to help them.

Hi Gus - I've been away for some time, too - have to work twice as hard these days and I live in hotels. I have two sons as well, but they are young adults now. Still, I miss being home.

Agreed this country is spiraling downhill, things are just insane. It'll be a miracle to survive eight years of the communist and there's still the pantsuit threat.

Hey Gus, welcome to the forum.
Don't lose out to 3rd party yet, lets steal the GOP from the Marxists first or it's a losing battle.
Victory is nearing and the leftists know it, which is why Trump was thrown into the equation, to once again water down the vote.

Hello Gus,

I'm in full agreement with your statements. Obama has devolved any semblance of civility in the civilian sector, especially stoking the fires of racial bigotry...especially against Whites. He has, as well caused a hate-storm between the political figures who should be working with one another to make good decisions for our country. Now we have "leaders" on both sides of the isle who are content to be idle...even watch our decline without lifting a finger. As far as power goes, Obama has made us look weal and foolish in the eyes of other nations. We need a backbone to lead us again.

Oh, by the way...

If you are with the millions of people LIKE ME who are siding with Trump, you will not be enjoyed here in this club. This is a "No Trump" zone. There's an amendment not well heeded in this arena. Be careful! And welcome.
One more liberal President in 2016 will mean the irreversible, eventual and total demise of our democracy. The rise and fall of democracy IS past the "apathy stage" at this moment. If this  momentum continues on its present path, restoration of democracy will require the least desired of actions.
