As much as I agree every American citizen has a right to own and carry a gun I'm glad alot of them don't.

I don't disagree.  It takes responsibility, training, etc.  Thankfully, I live in red, rural areas where there's literally no crime.

Yeah, I agree. If someone isn't willing or sure they can take a life, they have no need to own one.
Taking a life is a lifetime burden on anyone.
