I was curious what this crowd might think of this story. I was a little suprised at the argument, but in the interest of full diclosure, I pulled it off a "liberal" website, so I have include two versions. The second seems to be from a much more conservative point of view. I'd love to hear perspectives on this......

This was actually talked about in the religion forum.  I have nothing further to add, as my feelings on abortion are between me and God.  They have a good conversation going on.

Yawn

I'm sure Ted Bundy said the same thing.

Withhold food from a baby and you'll be charged with murder. The fact that a human life is dependent on others, doesn't make killing them okay. When a new life is created, there's a responsibility both the father and the mother have to that LIFE.  Abortion is a byproduct of the "recreational "culture that has been pushed by the entertainment industry (BIG Entertainment). Sex without responsibility, sex without consequences (except for the life snuffed out).

Q PATRIOT!!!

It's being spun as Catholic hypocrisy.

If the Catholics were smart, they would exploit this to it's fullest.

How?

Accept culpability in the wrongful death of the twins, losing the case.............sticking to their doctrine.

Once that was done, they would have enabled themselves to sue, (on behalf of the fetus), for every abortion performed, from that moment forward. The state would have already set precedent, and abortionists would lose every case in the future.

I think they are just giving unto Caesar what is Caesar's.  Sounds like the twins were dead already.  In any case because they followed the rule of law as defined by the state they are in to me is just spinning words.  If that hospital were able to change the law so that these fetuses were in fact defined as human in all aspects they probably would have been OK with it, because at the same time it would make all abortions murder.

Just people trying to make the church and religion look bad and using this suit as a stupid basis to say A-Ha the churches do not even consider a fetus a human.  In my view that a article like this could be posted on two sites is just pathetic.
