It doesn't make any damn sense. If a company is FORCED to pay employees more, then they will either cut hours back or lay people off to make up the lost revenue. How can libs not see this very simple economic philosophy.
The age old question. Why are libs so stupid?
You're right Hindes, it always effects everyone, that two bucks has to be made up somewhere, so not only does it cost small business, it costs us, the end consumer as well.

Yup, I forgot to add that to my post. Even if the business doesn't lay off or shorten hours of employees, the revenue will be made up by raising the prices of thier products/services. It's so simple to understand. Do libs think companies are in buisness to pay employees!! NO! Buisness exists to make money, if the government chips away at their profits, they will find a way to make up for it. Usually in a way that hurts everyone.

It's funny you say that, because all throughout history, that's how communists saw it and how Unions exploited it, they saw business in the light that it was the employee that made business prosper and should be allowed to dictate wages.

Employees first, business second, now with a min wage increase, business collapses and large corporations pick up the slack, corps which take millions in Govt subsidies, eventually closing the noose around Free Mkt, putting Govt in complete control of the economy.
End result? Communism.

Realization would require some knowledge of basic economics, but Libs don't have that. They assume that wages and prices are just made up by the "greedy" business owners, and have no relationship to market conditions. But then again, all Libs socio-economic beliefs are based around denying that any such thing as market forces exist.

If everyone at McDonald's made a minimum of $10 an hour I wonder what hamburgers would cost then?  I just can't believe some people are so stupid.

Hamburgers are going to cost more. So will everything else. Raising the minimum wage is a form of coerced redistribution. Everybody pays.

10 quid an hour to make french fries. That makes sense...

It is good the fries come to Mickey D's frozen. With the mentality of most of their employees a franchise owner would not want them anywhere close to a potato slicer.
