General: Clinton Lost 'The Biscuit' -- Nuclear Codes

Snip
President Bill Clinton's administration lost track of "the Biscuit," special codes that allow the president to launch a nuclear attack, according to retired Gen. Hugh Shelton.

The codes, printed on a credit-card-sized certificate, are a key part of America's nuclear protocol. They allow the president to open a special briefcase that contains instructions for a surprise nuclear launch, and the commander in chief is supposed to keep the card with him at all times.

Under Bill Clinton, the card disappeared.

In a new book, a retired general says Bill Clinton's administration lost track of a certificate that holds nuclear codes "for months."
"The codes were actually missing for months," Shelton, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, wrote in his book "Without Hesitation: The Odyssey of an American Warrior."

Obviously if you just talk to people, you'll never need to nuke them.

That dirtbag has luck no mortal human should enjoy.

That doesn't surprise me.  The military and its function has never been a high priority to Clinton, as far as I'm concerned.  I'm just thankful that our enemies didn't have an inkling of this.

Also, there are different dates and two different versions of this happening.  Would anyone be surprised if both instances actually happened?

He may have given them to Monica for safe keeping.

Actually, if you include the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which provides funding for PBS, NPR and local affiliates, the total tax bill is around half a billion dollars a year. CPB's budget request for next fiscal year is a bit over $600 million. This ain't sneeze money.
