Marionettes attempt speech on their own...
"I'm a proud Democrat, but first and foremost, I'm a proud Republican and Democrat and mostly American."

And the "Mostly American" vote.
The fact the democrats had to find this cadaver as their spokesman speaks volumes about the condition of the party.

Excellent point. A decade ago, they'd have used new blood as a way of promoting tomorrow's new Speaker or VP wannabe, but today, they dusted off a dementia patient as the cream of the crop. Yep, this is the best they have to offer.

In case anybody missed it, Maxine Waters and John Lewis did not attend the speech. I'm sure Trump was crushed.

I saw that shit too, and thought, This is news, why?
And a child discovered the ocean is cold on the Westcoast yesterday, but no one cared about that either.
Isn't this old fool a Democrat former Rep from Kentucky?
They might lynch his withered old ass if he goes back there.

I'd disagree with the "mostly", more like "barely", but I don't think he got the memo that his old, white, blue collar stuff is dead. He got run out of Kentucky because of the ACA scam....
I can't put into words how much I love these liberals failing.

Next thing you know, they'll hyphenate American with... Marxist American, "Mostly Marxist".

Really, got any link on that, not that I doubt you just want to read what the old Buzzard did.

I'd never even heard of him till he pulled this stupid shit.
But it's not a surprise the party pulled up a retired no name to be their representative, because everyone else in the party is despised beyond belief.
Who better to give the democrat response than a former governor in a state that now has a republican governor...

You're actually right!
The Dims read the polls and discovered that
white working class voters have rejected the D party.
So they looked up "white working class"
in their encyclopedia of stereotypes, and found this guy.
Seriously! THIS is the image the Dems' party bosses have
of white working class voters!
The Dims truly believe that THIS guy is the personality
with whom white working class voters will identify!
Apparently this was set in a diner. This must be the only diner in the world that does not serve food.
He's mostly stupid.

Back in the 70/80s when I was acting, I did a commercial in an out of business fancy retauraunt and I played the part of the republican, all American boy nextdoor, wearing a suit and carrying a breifcase, (the Dims idea of cookie cutter, money hungry Wall st type, greedy white guy).
There must have been more than 50 extras there and no one thought to put plates out or fake like they were eating, just like this one.
Funny part was, they were trying to demonize us as Reagan Capitalists back then. What is it with libs and earning a living?
Oh, and when ths Dim showed up to speak his part as the senator running against the evils of American greed, he landed in a helicopter paid for by the taxpayers of Calif.
Ooooh, the seething hypocrisy....

Maybe that's why the place went out of business?

Kind of like that campaign ad featuring Al Gore
paddling his canoe down the river
to show him as a "sensitive environmentalist."
Except that they released a bunch of water from a dam just to make that ad,
at a time when the region had been in a severe drought for years.
"Conservation? That's for the little people!
We're the elite! We can waste as much water as we want!"
So, how bad of an idea did it have to be for this admission to happen?

They must really, really be in a mess for this to float out of all their discussions as the best idea they had.
No disrespect to the ol' guy, but I was dying while he talked - just saying, really, this is the best response they have?
I think they originally were thinking of putting Pelosi or Schumer on ... that would have been a worse idea. Ok ... I made that up, but it would have been a worse idea. Just say'n.

That was the point of the thread. The Dims have no one whatsoever to offer outside a bunch of despised Marxists, so they resorted to an aged leftist no one remembers, that can't string 5 words together.
But let's look at what's really going on here. Just a short time ago Bill Clinton would have been the go to guy, he'd bite his lip and tell the nation how he "feels their pain", and the libs would have eaten it up.
So there it is, proof the Dims have finally hit bottom, yet keep on digging.
