Minimum wage does nothing for the poor. It causes inflation by raising product prices to match the increased wage.

What it really does is reduce the buying power of pensions.

Indexing the minimum wage to the cost of living has been tried before. it caused hyperinflation in every country that tried it.

Of course we've been in a depression all along, it's just that no one wants to be honest and tell the Emperor his ass is naked.
But seriously, if he were to get a Min Wage increase to nine an hr, it literally would be the end of the small business sector.
Sure, 7-11 would survive, Mickey Ds  and a whole host of franchises, but not only would it force layoffs, the cost to the end consumer , particularly the poor would be devastating.
But wasn't that the plan all along? To get more people completely dependent on Govt, cement their voter base and end Capitalism and free mkt.

How can libs be so blind as to not see this?

Don't the libs understand that not every job is a career job, sorry working in McD's flipping burgers isn't a career, sweeping floors in a factory isn't a career. In my day the guy sweeping floors would better himself and go to school or stay after work and learn to use a lathe, or paint booth or whatever. IF the flipper wanted to better themselves they went to school or learned management, of if they wanted to cook went to college or night school and learned culinary arts. Then they got better pay.
This is all the political correct B/S where all the little Johnnys and Marys get a trophy and get A's just because. What ever happened to WORKING FOR WHAT YOU WANT! Damned I get pissed of with this crap to easy any more.
This is such a blind sided way at socialism it isn't funny.
