I think that if they actually make the cuts they promised regarding what doctors and hospitals pay the only thing a medical card will be good for is opening those older type latch locks and I guess it would be good for setting up lines of coke.  But you are not going to see a doctor unless it is in an emergency room where they have to take you.  As it is now a medical card i pretty useless because most doctors do not accept them.

Here's how I see the future of medicine under socialism.
Even under Huseincare, there is no guarantee you'll see an actual doctor in the emergency room.
I can see the future, a nurse bureaucrat will make the initial diagnosis, then pass the so called diagnosis to another staff person who then classifies your injury, who then informs the nurse who further categorizes your emergency from 1 to 1o, who then passes it along to a staff of no named bureaucrats that base a decision on needs.

Needs as in the form of a modified death panel, they decide if you are worthy of further treatment for your possible broken hip based on age, drain on society, potential years of production.

If it is determined you don't qualify for surgery, you will be sent home to recover on your own with a life-end supply of morphine.
If it's determined you are still a productive member of society with much to offer, you'll then be seen by a real nurse who will then contact a doctor who will schedule you for consultation for surgery 6 months down the road.
Maybe then you'll finally see a doctor, if you survive...
