The Republican Party is now facing the threat of a hostile takeover. Donald Trump is not a conservative, he is not a Republican; he is not even a Democrat. Donald Trump is a radical demagogue who has chosen to invoke the tribal instinct to mobilize mob support behind an agenda of socialist policy and unlimited government. In other words, he fits the precise political definition of a national socialist. He is also an open admirer and apologist for Vladimir Putin, America's number one enemy worldwide. His seizure of the GOP presidential nomination must be prevented.

Trump has a weakness: he has no surrogates. His campaign relies on his own star power, and where he is not present, he has very little. It will be quite difficult for him to effectively campaign across 12 states, matched up against opponents each of whom only needs to concentrate on a few.

How can Trump be stopped? So long as the votes of the rational electorate are scattered among several alternative candidates...

Ted Cruz has the best ground game in place - knocking on over 100,000 doors in SC, that's people going door-to-door because they believe in Ted Cruz.

Trump?   After the smoke-n-mirrors blow away, and nothing but his liberal policies are left, he may as well choose Hillary at a running mate, because nobody else in the GOP race comes close to his Tax and Spend policy.

Mexico will pay for the wall - sure, right, is that BEFORE we build it, or over 40 years of Tariffs that hurt BOTH our economies?   Can you wait for the excuse, "I said MEXICO would pay for it, I didn't say HOW or WHEN, did I?"

How is Trump going to take care of our Veterans (more of the same, "trust me, we're gonna take such good care of our Vets, you're gonna love it!") - .... right.... !  no plan, just more smoke.

IMHO...........as candidates drop out Trump will not be getting any of them votes. The votes will go to the one left standing against Trump. And once again IMHO..I think the only person who can handle that is Ted Cruz.

Now in SC that idiot Haley went in the tank for Rubi-con, that means she is pro amnesty which i think she came out in favor of before, Anyhow, wait until Trumps goes nuts over this, he gave a lot of money to Haley's campaign before, may have even considered her for VP.

Independent or switch parties...?  I don't have the luxury of all those numbers, but I'll bet someone has figured out how close Donald is to beating Sanders and/or Hillary with just the Democratic votes he's pulling from their party - and how he'd cream them if he left the GOP.  Trump's policies mirror Hillary's so close, they ought to be running mates.

A one on one debate would destroy him.
