Neoconservatives are liberals with religion.
They are funded by groups like the US Chamber of Commerce.
They deceive the GOP voters by claiming they are for smaller government but they grow government and cut tax rates and then replace the cuts with fees and debt.

They are the Bush family, Romney, McCain.... and we like them only in contrast to Democrats because of social issues. The Tea Party collapsed because we failed to speak out against the pretend organizers who told us that they ran the movement. They were really neoconservative enemies of the party and those looking for personal fame. We never elected or chose them. Next thing we know they were creating a political party with themselves in charge.

The Tea Party was and is a belief system. It had an economic agenda and a Constitutional agenda. It did not have a social agenda. Even atheists could be Tea Party. It lived in our hearts not on a ballot. It was pure American values.

All true, with one caveat. TEA is alive and well, we just rejected the idea that any single group speaking or claiming to represent us. We're still alive and well, we have not died, some of us still meet intermittently and have speakers come to our meetings.

Remember when these groups would try to form claiming they were "official" tea party groups?  Lots of grifters running around.

It is in our hearts just like our religion. Some like it in groups and some practice it in private.

Re: tea party: The election of Barack Obama was a key factor along with funding from dark money contributors in the hope of electing a congress that would nullify Obama's polices and presidency. It worked fine until 2018's house election. Did it accomplish anything? Hatred of immigrants is still strong, destroying healthcare for needy Americans has worked some, but deficits are growing like crazy. Funny how deficits change meaning under republicans?

As for Marxists in the GOP, who knows what that even means? It reminds me of sins like impure thoughts or wishes. Its use is a stick that holds meaning kinda like advertising. It just gets repeated over and over again but has lost any real meaning long ago. Just sayin....

"The issues that fired up the Tea Party are the same things that Trump pushes as president: an anti-establishment view, hostility towards immigrants, opposition to ObamaCare and hatred of federal budget deficits."

That is like saying a retail store hates shoppers when it is shop lifters they are talking about.

To quote Ronaldo Magnus, "There you go again".

The TEA movement does not hate immigrants. We hate ILLEGAL immigration, not the individuals. Just throwing charges against the wall is not effective.

I don't know why people who know absolutely nothing about a subject "Feel" a need to spew stupidity.
You have no clue as to what it means to be a Conservative, yet you post some piece of shit opinion piece as if it has any bearing in truth.
Try and learn some history about what it means to be a true Marxists, educate yourself on the subject so you understand what ideologically driven hate for ones freedom and how it is seen as a threat to humanity. Yes, they hate Conservatives.

That is Marxist thought in the radical, they see capitalism as evil, a threat to everything. Then look at Fabian socialists, another arm of Marxist thought while considering their wolf in sheep's clothing view of infiltration.
That is the Marxist within the GOP, they already did it to your beloved Dim party and had hoped to takeover the spineless GOP, and damn near succeeded.

Enter TEA, the belief in the American culture of individual Freedoms, Liberty for all, not that "Spetchal" Rights bullshit for your so called "Victim groups", no, we believe in equality across the board.
We, TEA. love immigrants that follow the law, meld within society, we despise those that break the law and enter illegally, it really is that simple.
For you to come in here and claim we're a bunch of racist homophobes is a perfect illustration of just how stupid you truly are and how you've been brainwashed by the left, via divide and conquer.

Why is it you can't grasp the idea of limited govt? That's what TEA is all about, a smaller Fed has less power over the individual. As for deficits? We're already in debt by trillions, so another trillion or 10 trillion to undo and repair the damage done by your commie party is money invested in our future, not wasted.
Can you be honest for once and admit your party went off the left end of the spectrum and needs to be either brought back kicking and screaming to the center Right, or put out of our misery and crushed in the most painful manner as possible? Are you honest enough to recognize reality, or are you fine with big brother in every aspect of your life.

Keep in mind, even the worst dictators in history didn't have access to technology we have today, where shutting down your life at the flick of a switch was available. That's where your party is headed.
TEA is alive and well, this forum is TEA, and every member here is TEA, and you want to tell us we're  dead?

Had to actually stop in the middle of my walk with a liberal friend, turn her gently toward me by the shoulders, look into her eyes, and say that no, our President doesn't think all immigrants are bad. But some are. And he wants to stop them.

No, says she, shaking her head. He thinks they're all bad.

No amount of repetition changes this kind of blind belief. It truly is a religion, but a dangerous one.

All illegal aliens are bad. They are all criminals.

Trump wants to stop illegal aliens. Legal immigrants are vetted before they are allowed to immigrate to the US.

The Tea Party ws founded under George Bush Jr not Obama. Obama was not even runing at that point. It was greatly a reaction to Medicare expansion and the huge deficit growth. Obama just made an easy target since all he did was but growth on a credit card.
The entire length of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars are just a pimple in terms of cost as compared to QE. And yes the military existed before the Middle East wars. You cannot count the entire military budget as part of the cost.
QE never existed before Obama.
