I've been thinking about this for years just like the rest of you.
When most of us were young, life was pretty simple, you did as you were told and knew what was expected of you.
Now it's a very different story, kids don't quite get to have an innocent life, back then not everything was political, but with the reach of the leftists, virtually every aspect of our lives is now political.

I wish I could nail it down to one particular moment, but it is a series of moments, how they sexualized  children, to giving them rights.
It's too much for a child to process at such a young age, most haven't even reached puberty, yet we have to teach them so many things so they don't get into trouble.
Chasing girls into the bathroom was seen as simply a milestone of growing up, now it can be considered "Sexual Harassment".

All of this can be placed squarely in the lap of the left, it all has it's roots in their need to destroy the American way of life.

Can anyone name one aspect of our lives that isn't political?

Yep, having sex with my husband in our home, with the blinds closed (I know, it's boring to some that way).  Politics don't enter into that at all.   :D

I was doing a search for chicken breast cooked, and was shocked what comes up now in pics.
But every kid using a search engine has now seen more naked skin by 6 than I saw before I was 16.

In the last 12 months, I've seen numerous stories about authority-figures gone wrong, often involving teacher/student sex, or other exploitation. The SOLE surprise was in the noticeable increase in stories where the teacher was a woman.

This last year, I've also noted how schools have totally preempted any parental right to decide the age when their child should learn "the birds and the bees." There is nothing like an over-educated liberal idiot to get inside a child's head and screw their mind up for decades. After the afternoon nap, we're running Deep Throat. Drink your milk, eat your cookie, and embrace the Suckitude of Schoolhouse Socialism.

As you note, the Internet doesn't help, any more than the porn magazines on the very same news-stands as the comics and other material we DO think fit for that age-group. But niowadays kids don't hide porn mags under their mattress, it's a thumb-drive to hold their on-line adventuring.

Democrats like Jocelyn Elders told kids to masturbate and got fired for it. Nowadays they stream video on demand from a simple Google image-search. And also meanwhile, numerous sites exist to help kids beat any parental-controls imposed on their web-crawling. How dare those evil parents try to put anything into your child's heads that was not approved by those who really don't like America much at all?!?!......

You'll need that information in first grade, where we also FAIL to explain that "sexual harassment" is the natural result of being fed too much adulthood at too early an age. My biggest problem is the drugging of our children by the leftist teachers and these nitwit psychoco babble authorities to control their behavior.

That, more than anything contributes to the degerneration of our society and keeps us enslaved to the drug culture.

It was the early 70s that brought the onslaught of self help industry.
There used to be a time when we all accepted we weren't perfect, yet somehow seemed to find happiness.
But now, if you can't find the answer in a book, you just go to the local shrink to get the little happy pill.

I believe that the defining moment, the "identifiable" moment, when this country LOST its' innocence, lost its' sense of responsibility, lost its' morality, and lost its' ability to identify right from wrong, was Roe v. Wade, 1973.

Yes, there are many other mitigating factors that changed our society forever, which have already been mentioned, but this country lost its' moral compass, lost its' compassion, and lost the divine responsibility of preserving human life, when abortion became legal.

Once the basic foundation of preserving and respecting human life is altered, and permitted to be reduced to "optional" status, then all other responsibilities and morals and behaviors are compromised.
