Excellent read coming from a very liberal paper.

For example, Boston Scientific has announced that it will now lay off up to 1,400 workers and shift some jobs to China.

And Dana Holdings, an auto-parts manufacturer with more than 25,000 employees, says it to is exploring ObamaCare-related layoffs.

Damn! 18,000 here, 1,400 there, and on and on it goes.  If we had elected Romney, the unemployment news would be going the other way.  We are 1/100th thru this term of the Obama administration.

High unemployment and under employment is going to be the new norm for some time to come I'm afraid.

Companies are not going to merely absorb the cost of the mandate.  They will pass some of it along to consumers in the form of higher prices and will deal with the rest my lay offs and cutting hours.

The news is full of reports on companies that are either laying off or cutting current full timers to part time status.

The 18,000 was avoidable, if only the union were not holding all their members hostage.
