How do you feel trump has handled the covid crisis?

I generally love the US and dislike most things about my own country. But when it comes to Corona I have to say Im not very impressed with how its been handled. Things were shut down to late, there was almost no testing done, there is no equipment for nurses and nurses have gotten fired for bringing masks from home. Norway however has handled this rather well, our hospitals are not overwhelmed and our curve is flattening. Usually Im not pro welfare or ubi, but I wonder if a temporaty ubi might have been a good option now that people cannot work? Im not sure.

Of course china has to take a lot of the blame for this as well, but Even with all the months the West had to prepare several countries, the US among them, seem to have failed miserably at preparing?

And also covid has put a bit of a damper on my immigration  process to the US to put it mildly, Im stuck over here (and so is my husband). Literally no flights or anything hahah, also Im sort of banned from entering the US too tho. But obviously we wouldnt go right now anyway with how the situation is in the US currently. Open boarders and flights going there or not.

I believe Trump has done as well as possible. Hindsight is always 20-20, but I believe the delay in information from China was a primary factor in delay of action. Trump has appointed a very competent group to lead the US reaction. The big learning from this is every country should be self sufficient for drugs and medical supplies.

Things were slow to start regarding the testing but they jumped on it asap.  I think he has done a great job.  Especially being out there every day talking to the people (as much as cnn hates this) .. He has been much more honest - admitting when things go wrong.  Much more presidential.  I sincerely doubt if anyone could have done it better - considering the ppe and ventilators that were in short supply.  For sure I do not support the Fauci assumption that we have to remain shut down until there is not one covid person out there.  That is ridiculous.

I agree Karen, Pub or Dim, it matters not who is in power, this is truly historic and Trump has handled it better than anyone else. I can't think of a better person for the job.

The fact that this question is even posed is testament to how well the Marxist media machine has spun what little they have. Trump has really been fantastic in his ability to deal with this and all the repercussions involved.
The guy has been tireless and I can't image any normal person withstanding all the pressure day in and day out.

Think about that folks. Trump is shouldering the weight of you and I, as well as the entire US, add to that, the pressure of the world economy. Talk about a superman?

Thank goodness we have TRUMP as POTUS. He has handled this the best anyone could. However, after the unemployment numbers announced today he better start looking at the DEEP STATE physicians he is listening to currently and LOOK at the real numbers NOT their best guesses. The country needs to go back to work asap or he will be blamed for the GREAT DEPRESSION # 2. The talking points with glitter by the media is starting to happen and the shift will be the economy. He is street smart guy and should realize it and get AMERICA back to work.

Yes, couldn't name one other person who could even come close to weathering this kind of pressure.

I've noticed he has Dim Governors praising his leadership, which makes it next to impossible for the LSM to attack him.

Sure, they'll spin the unemployment numbers, when at this point is only 10% of the actual workforce, so if they go after him too much, there will be backlash form the people that know none of this was his fault.
Point is, this is all temporary and if the media paints a worst case scenario, it will be evidence to use against the left when the economy takes off like a rocket.
All the Dims did was blame his leadership, and claim their plan was better, they'll be proven to be the losers because Trump prevailed in the end.

I have the opposite perspective.

Things were shut down to late,
We were the first to do it.  Trump shut down incoming flights from China, and declared a nation health emergency, in January as the WHO and media were saying it was overreaction and calling him racist for doing so.  Also, other X-factors, like Trump decoupling American supply chains from China since 2017.

Leftists will screw things up.  Trump, for example, can't go back in time and have Hussein replenish the depleted supply of masks.  Now that it's in his hands, he's having American manufacturers cranking them out instead of depending on China.  This is amazing stuff.

Our hospitals are completely empty. Literally.  Even so, the Army Corps of Engineers has turned out sports stadiums and such venues into quarantine centers waiting for an influx if it were to happen.

How are you making that determination with faulty testing kits?

Trump's taking down the Fed.  That's what that's all about.  We're going to be in the best situation possible on the other side of this.

No. We were light years ahead of the rest of the world.  We're cranking out our own testing kits while Italy was hugging infected Asians.  Coincidentally, I've been to a few different hospitals over the past few weeks for a health thing I'm having right now, and I can tell you it feels like I'm literally the only one in the building.

Nobody over here thinks there's a problem with the virus.  Aside from a temporary run on some toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and stay at home orders to various degrees by the states, it basically feels like a vacation.

He has absolutely run circles around the deep-staters and bureaucrats like I've never seen before.

Your comment about hospitals is spot on! One thing I've been reading locally here in Ca, is that emergency rooms are treating just 10% of what they normally do, that people aren't using emergency rooms like they used to, they're avoiding hospitals like the...."Plague"?
In other words, they're making appointments to see a doctor, rather than risk exposure.

I heard also that people are at home, which means less car accidents, etc etc.   I was talking about emergency room and outpatient areas.  The only difference was answering a few questions and getting a pass from a guy at the references to get a pass.  It's so bad, the media has to use video of Italian hospitals and lie about it being in the US.

After this is all over and done, the stats will be astonishing. Take planned parenthood, they kill more in a month than what the Virus has done since day one.
More people die daily from accidents than that of the virus. However, aside from that, there will be a serious cultural change, parents are discovering the shit the schools have been teaching their kids, trans men and sports lost its appeal, BLM, ANTIFA, dead.

People were sick of having this shit shoved in the faces, so I expect a sort of social rebellion against the left.

The libtards are having a struggle.  The funniest was the Michigan Governor begging for CQ after she threatened to go after doctors for prescribing.  Governor Cuomo's nipples where hilarious too.

Yep, complete meltdown time by the left, and Fuglosi must be having fits with her nephew Nuisance praising Trump. It just doesn't get any better.

The us did close its boarders earlier than Norway, but I think you had covid already in your country. I was thinking more about the social distancing measures, Im pretty sure youve had community spread for longer than Norway WITHOUT detecting it through testing. Norway was paying close attention to where people got covid, from abroad or in Norway. When people started getting IT in Norway then Norway closed all the schools down, hairdresser salons etc. People were told not to take public transportation (but IT has remained open for healthcare workers that dont have cars because Norway makes it so freaking expensive to own a car).

I dont think the tests Are still faulty? Because south korea has also been testing and isolating and keeping control of it that way and its been working. The social distancing measures were also working. The us didnt test and therefore had no idea you have community spread, new York is a shit show right now. now of course not every state is as badly affected, and its quite something to manage a country that big. New York has more people than all of Norway, som there is that. China managed to keep control of it in their country of idk how many 100 millions of people, but they Are a dictatorship. I still feel trump should have urged all states to social distance a lot earlier.

And lets say the tests Are faulty, Norways numbers Are still stabilizing. Less people being admitted to hospital, the icu's Are not full. But we do have to few respirstors, and it could get to be a big problem. I believe the us has more.

And regarding equipment, we shouldnt (neither the us or Norway) be so freaking dependent on china! But thats more on the Obama biden adminiration than trump. But I thought trump had enacted a law that made IT so he could make factories in america produce equipment, but I havent heard he has actually done it?

Its also messed up nurses can get fired for wearing their own protective gear... Again thats not so much on trump AS IT is the employer. But i feel like this is better in Norway.

The problems the US is suffering, had nothing to do with Trump, it was Dims ignorance and defiance against Trump that exacerbated the OVID problem.
