I agree with you....except the majority of the AMerican people disagree with the tea party on virtually every single point.

Like for example, they want to raise taxes on the rich.

That's the biggest straw man obfuscation since the East Kirkcarswell Wicker Festival.

It's a trick question that plays-to the human condition.  Remove the words 'on the rich', then ask the question in a poll...  Are You In Favor Of Raising Taxes?

Gee... I wonder how 'the majority' would answer that one in the affirmative...

You gotta say the note to self, "Raise taxes on the Wealthy," remains one of the  most misunderstood ideas on the table today, yesterday, and tomorrow.

Let's ask, "If a wealthy, successful man has an extra $100 on the table, would you prefer:

1) Encouraging that man to use his intelligence and experience, study the economy and the market and make the decision where and when to invest that money, then put it to productive capacity in a business that is growing and could use the money or a new one that someday might, or,

2) Give that money to the government to do with as it sees fit.

The responses would not be unanimous, by any means. Alternatively, why not just have the IRS go house to house?

According to the poll, 68 percent of those questioned said wealthy households pay too little in federal taxes; only 11 percent said the wealthy pay too much.

You're right about one thing, "you are a sock puppet for Steve F".  BTW, he didn't last long here and you aren't doing any better.

What leftist poll did you go to for your sources?
