Hey all
« on: October 23, 2017, 12:02:04 PM »
I've followed this board for awhile now, finally took the time to sign up so I could post my thoughts.

As I watch our beloved country go down the tubes I think back on all the promises Trump made to drain the swamp, build the wall, and do something with the immigrants. After nearly a year in office, he has done nothing but cut benefits to the middle class, disrespect the military and families and take us in the opposite direction that most conservatives demand we go. I'm retired military, currently live in Asia, and voting for him and high hopes in this President, I now have to look myself square in the eye and call him what he is, an elitist corporate shill.

Where do we from here?  Who can save us? Where are the leaders who are not afraid to take our beloved nation back?

You are clearly too far away to get the real story about Trump and his efforts. You make no mention of how he is not only fighting democrats, but to a larger extent GOPe has stood in his way.

If you have been following the forum, as you claim, then you'd know most of what you said is nothing more than leftist talking points parroted by leftist media.
Keep reading, or do a search of this forum for the truth.

What benefits has he cut and if he simply allocated funds to build the wall that would be unconstitutional. The disrespecting military families is laughable.

The whole idea that Trump disrespected this family is pathetic.

Welcome to the forum Vine.  My perspective is a little different then yours, yet I myself still have some doubts about Trump that still remain.  However, I must say first off, his pre-inauguration 'gala' had me in tears.  Happy tears.  The patriotism that he displayed was absolutely undeniable and overwhelmingly refreshing after dealing with the anti-American, anti-exceptionalism attitude from Obama.  President Trump has seemed to maintain that patriotism and IMHO he has placed emphasis and focus on taking care of and expanding our military.

There is undeniably an undercurrent coming from both sides of the aisle to sabotage this presidency and his goal to drain the swamp of corruption.  Leadership in the Senate has been a joke for several elections cycles and the Senate is laden with RINO's like McCain and Murkowski who would rather pander to the leftist mental midgets than vote along party lines to help this President achieve his objectives and ideally do what's right for the American people.  In that aspect Trump is far more conservative than they.

You have me a little puzzled or perhaps I missed it, but what benefits to the middle class has he cut?  Right now he has proposed tax cuts to corporations and is renegotiating NAFTA which should benefit the middle class.

As for the wall, he can't arbitrarily order that a wall be built; Congress has to approve funding for it within the budget.  The House holds the purse strings.  As for Obamacare; the House passed a bill and the Senate RINO's killed it. Perhaps Trump and his supporters didn't realize that there are 3 branches of government and each are responsible for certain aspects of how our government is run. President Trump I believe is now increasingly aware of the functionality of the 3 branches of government and the limitations set for by the Constitution for each.

I was never a Trump fan and certainly would have preferred someone else. The fact still remains that he defeated Hillary and he's given us a conservative justice to the SCOTUS.  I expected nothing more.  IMHO he's taking this country in a more positive direction than it's been heading in the last decade; and yes, I'm including the last 2 years of Bush's term.

Sorry if it seems like a rant ... again welcome to the forum!

Soros paid shill?

If Trump accomplishes nothing else in the time he occupies the White House, his biggest contribution to this country is ... He stopped Hillary from being elected President!

Year = 9 months in Russia.   Always had a problem counting TIME, probably radiation damage from that deal with Hillary.

you mean Putin?   Actually, in Amerika, we still have 3 branches of government, they all have to agree to pass a bill, 2 branches pass it, then Trump can sign it into law or veto it.   There are no "benefits" to cut to the middle class - you ninny!

laughable!

Must be listening to PRAVDA or something from China - Trump has been FAR MORE conservative than Congress - aren't you paying attention?

ASIA....?   you mean Russia, right?  Yeah, thought so.

Unlike Hillary and Uranium One... she was a comrade for the people, she knows how to cut sweet deals with Putin.
