Google executives have responded to a 3,300-word manifesto written by one of its male engineers that argues women aren't suited for tech jobs for "biological" reasons.
The document has been circulating inside Google for some time, but it was made public by Motherboard on Saturday. Recode and Gizmodo published the document in full.
Over the weekend, Google diversity vice president Danielle Brown and engineering VP Ari Balogh addressed the controversial document in separate messages to Google employees.
Brown and Balogh condemned the document's assertions and defended Google's diversity efforts.
The issue immediately ignited a fierce debate on social media.
The author, who has not been identified by CNN Tech, is reportedly a rank-and-file software engineer at Google. He contended that Google doesn't have more female engineers because men have a "higher drive for status."
He argued that the company's diversity programs — including seminars that teach young girls coding skills — are "highly politicized." The diversity work, he said, "alienates non-progressives." He also said he believes that Google's commitment to hire more women stands to make the company less competitive, and that the gender wage gap is a myth.
The author wrote that higher rates of anxiety disorders among women may explain why there are "lower numbers of women in high stress jobs."
But Balogh, the engineering boss, said such "stereotyping" that is "deeply troubling" and "harmful."
Diversity VP Brown, who was hired just weeks ago, wrote a lengthier response.

There isnt enough diversity in jobs in general. I remember when Bank tellers, retail workers, and waitresses had many quite attractive women. Now it seems to me its almost a crime to be a hot woman. I agree the gender wage gap is a complete myth. Jobs have fixed wage scales and i have yet to find one that has different wage scales for males and females.

is miniscule compared with the discrimination Google practices on ALL OF US
with their outright censorship of dissenting views.
What Google does in their search results is the online version of

It's cancer in the corporate world as it devours industry through PC rules and threats of "Diversity lawsuits".
All the guy did was ask for fairness in the work place through open dialogue, and instantly a "Diversity" cop shuts down dialogue using PC lies and claims of reparations or some such nonsense.

Google Fires Employee Behind Anti-Diversity Memo

James Damore, the engineer who wrote the memo, confirmed his dismissal, saying in an email to Reuters on Monday that he had been fired for "perpetuating gender stereotypes".
Damore said he was exploring all possible legal remedies, and that before being fired, he had submitted a charge to the U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) accusing Google upper management of trying to shame him into silence.
"It's illegal to retaliate against an NLRB charge," he wrote in the email.
Google, a unit of Alphabet Inc based in Mountain View, Calif., said it could not talk about individual employee cases.
