Good News For Conservatives

The LIBertarian party is moving left. Why is this good news you ask? Keep in mind, the LIBertarians are outright rejecting the Declaration of Independence.
"Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness", United States Declaration of Independence.

Well for decades the Libertarian party was being undermined by the Establishment GOP, they even supported Gary Johnson, essentially installing him as a puppet, an insurance policy against the party ever becoming a viable second option for the GOP Conservative base to flee to.
I say this is good because, having the party move leftward, we'll see more of the moderate Conservative come back to the base, allowing the party to move even further left, and when that happens?

The very thing the GOP use to fear could possibly happen, will now be the Dim party's Achilles heel. Now the ever shrinking Dim party base will have another option and will most likely become a haven for libs pissed off that the party chose Marxism.
Keep an eye on this, you're going to hear a lot more about LIBertarianism in the coming years. Insert Evil Grin)
Read on. Here's an excerpt.

Libertarian National Committee Chair Nicholas Sarwark opposes Alabama's latest pro-life bill.

In a statement on Facebook, Sarwark said, "The Libertarian Party calls for an end to government persecution and prosecution of the women who choose abortions and of the medical personnel who assist them."

The committee chair added:

We also call for an end to subsidies, an end to prescription requirements for contraception, and an end to restrictive demographic adoption policies. Those who truly want to reduce abortions should consider that a culture of freedom, persuasion, and real individual choice can accomplish far more than a culture of prohibition and punishment ever has."

Since Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed House Bill 134 into law, the national debate on abortion has reached ear-piercing levels. This bill bans virtually all abortions, thus making it the strongest pro-life bill in the nation.

By the way, this was not a slam on libertarian Conservatives.

Yes, there are many, but it proves what I've been saying for decades, that the GOP has been pulling the strings in the party to make sure it never grew to become a threat, but that crown is now passing to the left as the party is being taken over by disgruntled libs. The GOP no longer needs to control the party.

Remember the party that used to say "I may not agree with what you say, but I support your Right to say it"? The Lieberman Dims of yesterday were still strong in the party.
Well, those libs still existed within the party in large numbers, but they are angry with the direction the party took so they are looking at the LIBertarian party since it's really their only viable option.

Libertarians are too off the wall for serious consideration. To be a libertarian you repeat 'freedom' five times and all the problems disappear. Rand Paul and Justin Amash are the only ones in Congress now that Paul Ryan departed to happy freedom land. A few interesting pieces linked below.

Yeah, I saw those articles, particularly the first one, quite the spin.
But it changes nothing, a lot of the Dim base is fleeing the party and since the Green party is just another leg of the communist party, they had little option if they wanted a voice, so they have been joining the LIBertarian movement, mostly for the "Liberty " aspect of the platform and a rejection of politics as normal.
There are a lot of libs that want more freedom and they see where their party is moving and they want no part of Marxist dogma.

To me this just reinforces my belief that LIBERAL-tarians aren't "conservative", they are against the rule of law, a dumbed down military and security force, believe in felons voting, legalized heroin among other drugs, also a great number of abortions are taxpayer funded, so there goes that arguement

I recall Neil Bortz was fond of saying that although he considers himself to be a Libertarian that he only once went to a Libertarian Convention and decided he'd never ever do that again!  He said that most of them were outright lunatics.  I respect Bortz; just as he states that he's a recovering lawyer, he was just as unhappy with the Republican Party, as I am!

The Problem with Libertarians is they can not agree on anything they can all agree on!  This makes it ok to be a Far Left Anarchist or a Far Right Lunatic. all the while calling themselves all some brand of Libertarians.

I think the best you can do is be a Conservative Republican with some very Libertarian views about the role of government and individual and state's rights.  In other words, a Conservative with an originalist view of our Constitution.
The press is our chief ideological weapon.
