Central Banks, led by our Federal Reserve, buy/sell the national debt of
nation/states and in this process determine the value of their currencies.
Additionally they allow settlement (payment) of these trade transactions.
This morning, as tariffs were being announced, the value of the Turkish
Lira dropped precipitously.
