Title: George H.W. Bush, a Fine Liberal
Post by: Solar on November 10, 2017, 05:02:35 PM
Do we need any more proof that the gop'E is nothing more than the Dim party in disguise?
Well, Bush admits he voted for Hillary over Trump. Did he support Cruz? Obviously not, he wanted a criminal in the WH, just to keep his own legacy alive.

"Read my lips: no new taxes."

Remember when those words came out of the mouth of George H.W. Bush, and then months later the American people were given one of the largest tax increases in modern history? (For the record, he claimed the tax hike was "for the sake of the country"...)  In 2014, Bush was honored with a JFK "Profile in Courage" award for putting the country ahead of his party promise to the American people. So it is no surprise that Bush is receiving accolades from Democrats now, some 27 years later, for blasting President Trump in a new book in which he also conveys that he voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.

There was a rumor, Ronald Reagan didn't want Bush as a running mate, was told he couldn't win without him, his ideas were far outside the mainstream - hence Bush was suppose to bring "balance" to the Presidency.  Sort of like Biden bringing balance to an unabashed Marxist.  :ttoung:

Yeah, it was more than just rumor, the Establishment forced Bush on Reagan, Ford was his first choice, Bush a distant 2nd.
I even remember Reagan bastardizing Bush's name, that's how much he disliked the slimeball.
Too bad no one ever exposed just how leftist those people were back then.
