So if we are exporting all this gas and fuel, yet prices are high?

Could this be an example of corporate greed?

Could this be an example of how the markets work?

AND regardless of how many holes we poke in the ground, the prices are still being set by external market forces.

NOT because Obama has caused it!

Because that's how the market works!

There's at least one domestic downside to America's growing role as a fuel exporter. Experts say the trend helps explain why U.S. motorists are paying more for gasoline. The more fuel that's sent overseas, the less of a supply cushion there is at home.

Now, doggone it, don't go posting lies from the liberal, leftist media! Until Faux News confirms it, it's just a baseless rumor.

Hey moron, so the facts that were causing price rises at 12/31/2011 still exist and are, in fact, causing the price to rise more.

You are one more funny, funny guy!

Well, of course I am.  All us conservatards know that the liberal, leftist media lies like your grandmother's rag rug.  Only Faux News, "fair and balanced," can be counted on to share the TRUTH and nothing but! There's a whole thread on it someplace.  I'll link it for you if you want me to.

Hello Dumb ass, there is a reason its old news, two refineries have since been shuttered, thank you Hussein, so the fuel is no longer being exported.
Try listening to what I have to say, instead of showing just how a stupid libs acts.

By the way, this is not all Hussein's fault, but he carries most of the burden.

The HOVENSA refinery closure removes an important source of East Coast gasoline and distillate supply
The closure of HOVENSA, a major refinery in the U.S. Virgin Islands, is another in a string of Atlantic Basin refinery closures over the past several years. With plans to turn the site into a product terminal, it continues the trend of companies shifting their focus from underperforming refining assets to other segments of the market. The closure of this refinery, which was the largest employer in the U.S. Virgin Islands, will likely have a major adverse impact on the economy of that U.S. territory. The impact on the mainland United States is not as large, but is still significant, as it is likely to affect petroleum product markets in nearby areas and up the East Coast.

Let me throw out a bone to the troll that started this useless thread and the other libdolt Fudd.
Care to try and defend this BS?

Responsible" domestic gas and oil production: Domestic crude oil production is now at its highest level since 2003 and domestic natural gas production grew by 7 percent in 2011 – besting the previous all-time production record set in 1973, the White House said.
And "in response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico," the Obama Administration has also launched "aggressive and comprehensive reforms to regulation and oversight of offshore oil and gas in U.S. history."
     *Reducing dependence on foreign oil:
The Administration says U.S. oil imports fell from 60.3 percent in 2005 to 45 percent of consumption in 2011 – the lowest level since 1995.
*Establishing historic fuel economy standards:  The Obama Administration says its standards for cars and light-duty trucks for model years 2011-2025 "represent the first meaningful update in over three decades." The plan calls for average fuel efficiency to reach 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025, "saving consumers $1.7 trillion at the pump," or roughly $8,200 per vehicle. More efficient cars will also mean "reducing oil consumption by 2.2 million barrels a day, and slashing greenhouse gas emissions by 6 billion metric tons over the lifetime of the vehicles sold during this period," the Administration says.
*Cutting energy bills for low-income Americans: : A Dept. of Energy program has "completed energy efficiency upgrades in 750,000 homes" nationwide, saving families $400 in the first year alone, while resulting in 14,000 direct jobs, the Administration says.
*Developing clean energy sources: Stimulus funding invested "more than $90 billion in clean energy, the largest such investment in American history," the Administration says. The White House argues the funds "have created hundreds of thousands of jobs and spurred thousands of clean energy projects across the country."

If my post was DATED, because it was from 2 months ago, then why are you posting info (without a link) from the past 2 decades?

and then your link shows why the refinery closed in the virgin Is.(moron)

Quote
HOVENSA cited operating losses in excess of $1 billion in the last three years alone - and projections of continued losses - due primarily to lower demand for petroleum products and the addition of new refining capacity in emerging markets as reasons behind the closure. As an oil-fueled refinery, HOVENSA also identified its competitive disadvantage with mainland refineries fueled with low-priced natural gas as a factor underpinning the closure.

But Solar will still blame Obama.

Maybe I can make it simple for you to understand, and why I dont place all the blame on Hussein, though the rest lies squarely in the lap of the Dim party.

Refineries are shuttering because it takes a lot of energy to crack crude oil, the heavier, the harder and longer the process.
The reason they are having trouble getting light sweet crude is because the Dims as well as Hussein, have made it nearly impossible to drill where the best oil is located.
So business does what it has to to survive, they will close the older plants and concentrate on the bigger refineries.

Now here is where your Messiah will be in big trouble for the election, with all these plant closures and no new sweet crude entering the mkt, the price of refined fuel will continue to climb, possibly near $6.00 per gal come time for the election.

Remember, he did claim prices would necessarily sky rocket under his plan, and the voters remember those words.
