Well said and I agree!

I've taken alot of heat for saying that before but I was so angered at Republicans before Bush even left office...I made a commitment to myself that integrity meant something to me. Never again will I cast a vote because of party affiliation.. Even tho I liked Palin I would not cast my vote for McCain.
I used to laugh at those that liked Ron Paul...thought he was just an old coot who didn't know anything...
I spent alot of time reading what Pepe and Shooter and others had to say and today although I dont believe I agree 100% with Paul on his opinion on Military matters, I 100% agree with him on fiscal matters and matters of what the Governments role is.  I found out the hard way that Republicans don't always have our best intrest at heart and in many ways are just as bad as the dems.

Same here, I caught heat for saying the same thing, that I'd rather let Hussein do the damage, if it meant more capitulation from the RINO.
The only difference in the two parties is the speed at which the Country moves towards socialism, it's time to remove the cancer from the GOP, or we won't have a Country left to save.

Reagan fought with them, and had one as a VP, only to have him begin to unravel the work he had started later as POTUS.
I believe the problem really started when Newt beat the crap out of the Dim party and like rats always do, jumped off the sinking ship to the GOP barge.
It was only a matter of time before their influence allowed other so called moderates to infect the party.
Granted the GOP has always been the party of capitulation, it now seems to be the party of surrender.

Hello to all.  I'm just jumpin' in here.  I read the first two and a half pages of this thread and I gotta say Rick Perry will not get my vote and here is just the beginning of WHY:

Gov. Rick Perry - China Loves Him.mp4

I have not seen any in the race yet I want to get behind.  There is something missing, and that something is fire in the belly patriotism.

They are all running against Obama and I am not convinced he will run for a second term.

What if he is not the D candidate?  What if the D candidate is Hillary?  Who could get that job done?

Here is another bit of advice.  Read up on the Council on Foreign Relations and how they influence the elections.

Do not let the meedeeah choose your candidate for you.

Welcome Msbobbie. 8)
You have a point, it is highly possible that Hitlary may just get the nod.
Though I still think there a couple yet to enter on our side of the isle, but if not, Bachman will get my vote.

Good morning, Solar.  Thank you.

I would like to see someone fresh, with name recognition and a record get in there.  I do not think Palin will, Bolton, IMO, has the most Foreign Affairs knowledge but is too dry, Giuliani won't do it.

He dissed the early states then because they have so few electoral votes and thought he could leap forward in Florida. It did not work.

It is a couple of months before people who could be viable have to announce in order to get on the early ballots and 6 months before most have to make up their mind.

I was shocked to see Perry leading in an Oklahoma poll last week after that NAFTA Superhighway business.

Good morning MsB, Palin has yet to say no as well, so it's still a possibility, Rudy is a freakin RINO and has no business considering a run.
I love Bolton, I'd love for him to step in and kick some ass. 8)

As to Perry, you've seen my posts on him, he too is just another opportunist RINO like Romney, neither of which will make the final cut.

Palin is reminding me of Fred Thompson 4 years ago; flirting with the media.  People gave up on him before he decided to officially announce.

Actually Perry mirrors Thompson's bid, nearly exactly.

Kind of. Sort of. Maybe. ;)

How about Jim DeMint?  Has he stood on the sidelines too long?

I wish Jim Inhofe wasn't so old!  He would be a great candidate.

(Don't anyone tell him I called him "old".  )
