Solyndra Inc., apparently the darling of solar power wing of the environmentalist movement, has announced that it won't expand its Fremont, CA plant and won't hire 1,000 workers to man it.

Fortunately the $535 million dollar loan from the federal government to fund the plant expansion is now spent so there's no chance of the taxpayers getting our money back.

I'd like to think that right near the top of the Republican agenda is torpedoing the entire greenie-weenie agenda starting with the endless parade of subsidies that'll never amount to a damned thing.

Give me a few million and I'll manufacture an electric hybrid car that actually WORKS.

Unfortunately, I have the wrong skin pigment, I'm a conservative, I don't do drugs, and I'm not an enviro-wacko.

For 50 mil, I could build a state of the art plant, for 500 mil, I could put every solar manufacturer out of business.
With that kind of money, I could literally run a monopoly and still sell a top of the line product.

This plant should be seized along with it's assets and sold so the tax payer could get something back.

Why don't we flood their website/customer service center with requests for our $535 million in tax dollars back... >:D >:D >:D

Now that you're in business, you owe us approximately $535 million, as a tax payer, I am willing to take that in monthly installments.
As a Solar business owner of 25 years, it is beyond me as to why you needed that kind of money.
For $535 million I personally could have built a state of the art plant with yearly sales in the billions, so I see no reason you should have any problem paying off your debt to the American taxpayer with in two years, without any hardship on your part.

I'll be watching closely, so please, if you would, show a good faith payment of $50 million by the end of 2011.

Giving money to California is akin to hitting yourself in the head with a hammer, because it feels so good when you stop. The Incompetence, Mismanagement, Thievery, Greed, Rampant Delusion, and total self-absorption. Has become so systemic, that the "Ruling Class" is no longer cognizant of the reality of workable parameters.
While I view the situation there as beyond help of any kind, as a total revamping of the Government is the only course of action that "Could" possibly set the state on a sane fiscal path of sustainable recovery. Ostensibly re-directing it from the bottomless pit of abject immaturity, and selfishness that has become a way of life for them, while shortsightedly regarding their actions as "Business as Usual".

     500 mil like its nothing and it accomplished nothing....I read that soros has invested heavily anticipating the green movment and cap and trade and renewable energy and alternative etc...this election may have cost the dirtbag a few bucks and set him back
