Fiorina?

OK, I guess it's time to put a pin it this balloon.

Here's my qualifier. I like Carly, I love her style as a little pit bull.
Now the But. But she has baggage that makes Kankles smile.

Fiorina is a RINO through and through.

From being on record supporting TARP, praising Jesse Jackson, supporting Obozo's stimulus, to her past support for taxation of sales on the Internet, flipping on immigration, to her Master's thesis advocating greater federal control of local education, supporting Sonia Sotomayor.

But the one that pissed me off to no end, supporting weakening California's Proposition 13, which is the key to keeping govt from stealing private land through taxation, for lack of a better description.

Conservatives never advocate or capitulate on any of these issues.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's what this forum is about, truth, even when it makes one of our own look bad.
So do not expect to see her get the backing and support of this forum, though we will cheer her when she says and does the Right thing, but no way will we advocate for her run for POTUS.

As a knowledgeable and well spoken woman she has value for the GOP. I agree she should not be a candidate, but she can a good messenger against Hillary. We will need all hands on deck in 2016.

Yep, she has the ability to get through to the left in a way that makes them look at reality, all the while entertaining the right.

Okay, I admit I did not know all of that crap on Carly.  If true (and I have no reason to doubt it) then she is a complete non starter.   Her baggage is larger than most!

But she has polished her candidacy immensely!

Solar,

I notice that two of your sources against Fiorina come from decidedly Left Wing organization who have a vested interest in not seeing Fiorina in public office (Think Progress and CBS News).

As for Malkin's hit piece on Fiorina, if you've read "Shakedown" I think you can appreciate why the CEO of a large corporation would not want to antagonize someone like Jesse Jackson. Also, as a Californian yourself, I think you can appreciate the fact that the rhetoric of a Republican trying to unseat an established Democrat Senator in a heavily Democrat state is going to be somewhat, well, muted, compared to what you and I are used to.

I'm not saying she isn't everything you claim she is, I'm just saying I'm not ready to throw her under the TEA bus just yet.

Even if everything you say about her is true, she would still be better than Hilary!

And just the optics alone would be worth it!

Got to admit you have a point on the optics.      A real big point

a very big real point.    Please take hillery's pic down now before the nightmares start again.

I'm not backing her, but we all know what's going to happen...  She's going to win the debates she's in.

I've worked with 'business balls' types.  Their charisma is a replenishing army of points and counterpoints.  You have to use psychology to air your take so it has some traction.

She will do well in the debates.  No question about it !!!!

That is ..... if she makes it onto the stage.  She must poll in the top ten according to Fox News to make it into their first debate.

So it's the messenger and not the act that matters? Yeah, they have an agenda, and so do I. Keeping the Establishment out of the party.

Screw opinion pieces, I stick to reality, and as a former CEO, you never capitulate to those attempting to extort, Never!

As I stated in the qualifier, she has a place, Just not as the leader of the free world.

I'm still not convinced she is "Establishment". I'm willing to give her a chance. Maybe you're just being prejudiced...

As a CEO you are responsible to your stock holders. If making nice with Jesse Jackson can avoid a multi-million dollar lawsuit (which is sure to get national coverage and tar and feather your company as being "RACIST") it's a small price to pay indeed. And that price will pay dividends to your shareholders and employees as well.

Only in Hollywood is there no such thing as "bad" publicity.

QuoteAs I stated in the qualifier, she has a place, Just not as the leader of the free world.

Even if she is as RINO as you claim (and I"m still not convinced she is) she would certainly make a better leader of the Free World than either Obama or Hilary. And, we wouldn't lose one of our best Senators if she were elected president.

Yeah, towards RINO.

That's right, and you never win when dealing with blackmailers.

And neither will be elected in 2016. So why should we compromise when we no longer have to settle for Establishment shills?

Would it be rude of me to point out that Reagan was a former governor, and former president of the Screen Actors Guild (can you say executive experience) as well as being a former Democrat?
