WASHINGTON — A House Republican often at odds with John Boehner launched a bid Tuesday to kick the speaker of the house out of his job — an almost unheard-of rebellion but one that has been simmering for months.

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-North Carolina, filed a motion to "vacate the chair" — a parliamentary maneuver that could be used to depose Boehner, R-Ohio.

The motion accuses Boehner of having "endeavored to consolidate power and centralize decision-making, bypassing the majority of the 435 Members of Congress and the people they represent," and of using "the power of the office to punish Members who vote according to their conscience instead of the will of the Speaker."

Bold gambit that has a better feel for 'timing' now, than the last ouster attempt in February-ish.  I'm neither for or against Boehner at the moment.  I don't feel like fighting that war until Dems and their policies are broken and smokin' and strewn-about the public landscape.

The Dems' policies will never get "broken and smokin' and strewn-about the public landscape" until we get rid of the traitors like Boehner and McConnell, who keep approving those policies!

We are getting insight into why the conservative wins in 2015 have not proved to make much difference.  Entrenched leadership has simply doubled down on the tyranny. So, now, what's left is to reject that fast track bill that is at the center of this whole controversy? Is that it?

Who would have ever thought that John Kerry would turn out to be one of the most dangerous men in the world. He seemed so ineffectual, on the surface.

Obama, Clinton, Kerry, Boehner, McConnell -- they've made the entire Washington establishment look like fools. From what I know of Washingtonians, they do not take to being the butt of jokes. Something has got to give.

I'd like to oust him straight to Gitmo, but that's just me.

I don't notice Boehner and McC campaigning for Dem candidates.

It would appear that Meadows has taken tally and believes the majority are at odds with the Establishment, that they can unseat them.
If he can pull this off, we'll be that much closer to ending the Marxists rein.
Boner had yet to meet a Marxist deal he didn't somehow help to move through Congress.

Maybe if he's successful here, someone will try the same thing and kick out The Chinless One.

Conservatives really got shafted last year, maybe the Marxist stranglehold on CONgress can end soon.

The article said that it had been referred to Committee....... a Committee heavy with Boehner leadership supporters!   So, it will die in Committee. 

End of story.
