FNC is reporting that McConnell is going to recommend Merrick Garland as head of the FBI. He obviously is "out of the closet" and acknowledging there is not a dime's difference between the democrats and GOPe.

I've been saying it for years, that the GOP has been taken over by leftists, and this is definitely proof positive.
I'm guessing it's a power play over Trump.

So we'll have Dims in the number one and two spots in the FBI?

Why not? They already run the GOP.

I don't agree with a Merrick Garland pick but there must be more to it. The Idea was first floated by Sen. Mike Lee not McConnell! Lee was on the talk show this morning and asked about it and why he would support him in this role and not to SCOTUS! Lee was quick to point out the difference in the appointments.
I guess their reasoning is that the director of the FBI works for the Deputy ATY General and the DOJ and is not a lifetime appointment.
Garland is a centrist Obama picked for the SCOTUS to embarrass the Republican senate in an election year, By all accounts an honest man, Maybe he would be a fine pick but I want to see someone that will really help enforce the DOJ fed crackdown on criminal gangs and Illegals. Not sure Garland would be the right pick for that!
I would also note this would open a seat on the Washington Appeals court for a conservative appointment. Trump could always fire Garland later after filling his Appellate seat!

Hmm...  Is that not something from the democrat playbook?  The old bait and switch.  The Dem's would be on Trump like stink on shit!

Sen. Mike Lee proposes Merrick Garland 4 FBI. PLEASE LIKE ME, DEMS! PLEASE! Can GOP think of anything other than how to get Ds to like them?

Perfect tweet and  if dems were in the reps place they would  nominate a Lynch, Reno, or Holder and tell reps to stick it where the sun dont shine. Reps suffer from an inferiority complex exemplified in this case by  Lee. I saw him make the suggestion and gagged.

Mike Lee also pushing for the liberal Garland. Trump should say, "You like Garland so much he is my next supreme court nominee."
