Another fool we can ad to the ranks of the "RINO" list.  These fools actually believe Obama and his tit suckers that we have a tax problem instead of a spending problem.

Action speaks louder then words. Although they parrot the words like "we know if we tax the rich it will not solve our problems", bullshit they believe it or they wouldn't vote for it, and when they vote for it they go on the campaign trail and yell loudly how wrong these things are (hint hint Paul Ryan), so why in the friggin world did you vote for it.

Now who's up to defend this "RINO"...Popcorn please...

Republican Sen. Coburn: 'Yes' I Will Accept Tax Increases in Fiscal Cliff Deal

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) on Sunday reaffirmed his stance that he would accept tax increases as part of a deal to avert the coming "fiscal cliff," one of a handful of Republicans to indicate movement on the issue.

Coburn said on ABC's "This Week" that the U.S. has spent "ourselves into a hole" and that no amount of raising taxes alone will solve the problem, but that he would consider doing so as part of a package deal.

So why vote for it fool.

Also the Gentleman from Tennesse Sen. Bob Corker the Tea Party is watching.

TEA anyone...?

I agree it's a BIG mistake, I'd prefer they just vote "present" following Obama's "lead" in the Senate.  Still, the important part is this...

"but that he would consider doing so as part of a package deal."

I wouldn't be so quick to label everyone a RINO.  He's been great on a few things, and less than true conservative on others.  I hate seeing the People not understanding how to win a battle any more than the politicians. Sometimes we're our own worse enemies.  Obama's going to get what he wants anyway.  There are things the House can do, but not with its current leadership and there is nothing we can do about that.

I agree, let them all vote present and let the Dims own this mess.

Depends on what the tax increases are. For example, I favor Glenn Reynolds call for an end to the the special tax treatment of film income and salaries. That ought to make the Hollyweird types happy. How about a cap on the deductibility of mortgage interest and state and local taxes. That ought to raise screams of pain in the high tax Democrat bailiwicks. We should also consider Reynolds call for a windfall tax on the income of all those government regulators, who leave the regulatory agencies, and then go to work for the businesses they were just regulating. I'd also apply that to people who worked for the EPA - and then took a job with the Sierra Club. I think ten years of 90% of everything over there government salaries, should keep them honest. I'd change the rules for non profits foundations, so that they would have to be self liquidating within a certain time period, or be subject to confiscatory rates. No use letting all these Leftoids spend the money that those evil old capitalists made (here that Ford Foundation). I also suggest that - as an emergency measure - we simply eliminate some government departments, energy, transportation, labor, commerce, education, come to mind. On top of that, lay off forty percent of the remaining non military government workers - again as an emergency measure of course.

EDIT: And of course EVERY citizen should pay at least a certain minimum percentage of taxes. Say, no less than the percentage of taxable income you receive.

 YES! to almost all of that!

I've long advocated that we reverse our current tax rates (I have ZERO support).  Tax the low wage earners slightly more than the high wage earners.  This would inspire everyone to take a couple jobs (to lower their tax rate) or go back to school to get the education to earn more.

My tax plan would eliminate poverty and spur productivity.  Problem is, I haven't been able to get anyone to see the wisdom of taxing the poor

Of course not. Leftistism's heart and soul, is a static view of reality. Everyone who is poor, is going to remain poor for ever. Everyone who is making minimum wage is going to be making minimum wage for ever. Every one who is rich was always rich, and will always be rich. No one will ever change their behavior to deal with different situations. Once you recognize the persistence of this static view, much of Libtard behavior makes an warped kind of sense.

Actually, it's liberals who have damned the poor.  There are solutions, but narrow minded liberals can't think outside the box.  Your policies have helped to ensure that they'll never leave.

Yep, God Dam the poor.

I hope you are not naive enough to think that if Whorehouse Harry Reid and the Kenyan In Chief get their tax increase on the "2%" - "Millionaires and Billionaire" (although for the life of me I don't know how someone who only makes $250 K a year qualifies as a millionaire) - that one penny of that extra "revenue" will ever make it to the "Poor"!

Ask any truck driver that owns a truck, that truck will make $250.000 a year but might only take home $50.00 and this bum Obama and his tit sucking "RINO" want to raise taxes because that truck or busines will make $250.000.

Well they can kiss my tax paying ass and I'll go work for someone else.

Static view, again. No one is going to change their behavior - or leave the country. Marx was born and raised in a Germany that was still mainly agricultural - and it shows. He never quite grasped capitalism. He simply saw it as something like the Germany he was familiar with. In agriculture, there's pretty much no way for someone to have more land without someone having less. To Marx the only way for a capitalist to increase their wealth was to impoverish the workers. The idea that capitalism might make the entire society wealthier, never sinks in with socialists.

BTW, what is it the top 1% of the taxpayers are paying now: 36.7% of the income tax burden, while receiving about 17% of the taxable income.
