FCC Repeals Net Neutrality Rules
« on: December 14, 2017, 01:08:51 PM »
The Federal Communications Commission voted to repeal net neutrality rules.

The agency voted three-to-two on party lines Thursday on Capitol Hill.

FCC chairman Ajit Pai championed overturning the rules, claiming the Obama-era regulations were “micromanaging the internet.”

The telecom industry also supports the move, claiming excessive regulations threaten their ability to invest in broadband expansion.

Internet seem slow - Net Neutering.
Phone has monthly DATA limits - Net Neutering.
Internet prices not coming down, and bandwidth seems to have stagnated - Net Neutering.

Thank Obama for trying to turn the Internet into a public utility, and kill off innovation, competition & speed - by attempting apply Socialism to private industry.

The effects of Net Neutrality are like instituting Socialism to any industry (you can own it, the Government tells you how to run it, and fixes the price).
It looks great at the start, but soon things start to run down, and the system becomes so unreliable, unusable and worthless.

The left are completely melting down over this.  If you want to watch something funny, ask them why it's a bad thing.

Libs are so damn adorable.

Before Obama's meddling the internet was really awful, wasn't it?

I can't believe we have to go back to the same system we had from the beginning of the internet to 2015.  I always refer to that time period as the dark ages...

I remember my first internet was by landline on a commodore 64.  With a tint green display monitor.

You mean when most people had access to the internet and it was cheap? Back when people had choices and online business exploded? That was a very bad time.

That was back when I was paying 42$ a month for full cable TV and the internet.

Mark Cuban (I know, but politics aside) broke down why net neutrality is horrible a few years ago on Beck (~5 min clip):

A must watch... the clueless MSNBC host had NO idea about the antitrust regs that would prevent FB, NetFlix, or anyone from paying for special treatment...  then he tries to backtrack and pretends he knows about the laws, then tries to cling to his argument that gets slapped down by the FTC law....

The left is going nuts because the government just lost control of internet control. Net neutrality was just step one of the government controlling content.

Oh how freakin embarrassing!
Mommy, there really are monsters in the closet!
This idiot lib tried to make an argument against free marketplace competition.
If auto manufacturers were placed under net neuteredreality laws, we'd all be driving drab V-Dubs, (The Peoples Car), but everyone would have a car because everyone subsidized it, but unless govt subsidizes gas, it wouldn't matter.
Which was one of the directives of neuteredreality, same as Commiecare, where we all pay higher prices for reduced quality and longer wait times.
