An open-source investigation revealed the dossier was based on 10-year-old Wall Street Journal articles. penned by Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson and his wife.
Fusion GPS recruited Steele to manufacture the dossier, which was paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton.

They are trying to goad Trump into firing Mueller. That way they can stop the investigation which is only ensnaring democrats and try and impeach Trump for obstruction of justice.

Exactly. They know there is no collusion and Mueller may be getting close to finding something on democrats. The dems are throwing a hail Mary hoping to get Trump make a compulsive move that would solve many of their problems. Trump is not twisting in the wind with the Mueller investigation, democrats are.
