My grandma is one of these people, and she can really piss me off with her prideful arrogance. She also hates rush for the same reason. For her 'what you say' isnt nearly as important as 'how you say it'. Its really just elitism. If trump or rush cannot speak and behave with a certain pre approved etiquette then 'what they say' isnt worth listening too.

Its really a disgusting superiority thought procces, and is divorced from logical reasoning.

Good point. I remember people like this, Eg. my old neighbor who died 20 years ago who only listened to Paul Harvey because he wasn't as bombastic as Rush.
You make complete sense, they locked in their mind that Trump's Tweets are pure arrogance and fail to see the big picture, they've become so accustomed to the PC craze the GOP adopted of not angering anyone, just appease and take the so called 'High Road'.

The ones on the left are in denial for self preservation purposes. The ones,  supposedly, on the right are petrified of losing their power. The term patriot in Washington is foreign to the inhabitants.

True, but that doesn't explain the losers at Redstate, the ones they just purged from the rolls of opinion authors.
I never read their nonsense, so I don't know if they're leftists or anti Establishment, but it would be odd had Redstate hired a bunch of libs to write for them.
Maybe Taxed has some insight here, he used to frequent the site a year or more back and left because of Ericksons arrogance.

For the older ones, I can agree with you, as far as the younger ones, they're just stewpid.

This past year has been very enlightening. It's exposing who walks the walk and who just talks.  On economics, I've been VERY surprised at how many people I thought were solid conservatives have no idea what's going on.  I figured we'd all be on the same page on at least that.

Economics? I have a neighbor that claims to be an Economic Conservative, so I asked him if he were a social Con as well, and he said no, there are a lot of social programs that are essential to the economy.
I think he's an old Dim that never actually thought about what a conundrum that is. There's no such animal on the left.

Things I thought that most normal people (conservatives) understood, like leverage.  For example, when you walk into a car dealership with a blank check, that's leverage. The dynamic of the sale changes. The salespeople are hungrier. You can get more bang for the buck, etc. It's beyond cash vs qualifying for a loan.  How President Trump is using our strength as leverage to rearrange the global economic landscape is amazing. Yet, I hear idiots scream "free trade!!".  They have no idea that Trump is getting us BACK to a foundation where we can have actual free trade.

Do they even know what "free trade" is?  Most I talk with have no idea.

When you have something the other party wants, they will pay a fair price where both party's walk away happy, but that's not what the left has been doing.
They haven't been dealing in what's best for the country, no, they've been getting other leftists to do things like, accepting Muscums.

I have no problem with the writers criticizing Trump. That's good. That's healthy but when the go all Bill Kristol and refuse to acknowledge any accomplishments and simply want to sit in the corner and pout then they are of no use.
